Bourgeois and Eastman!! We received the Bourgeois Touchstones series OMC Soloist limited edition and the Touchstone series Luke Bryan limited edition. The first pic shows the back of the soloist, which is striped Ebony paired with a Lutz Spruce top with a cutaway. Gorgeous!! Generally speaking this is a finger style guitar, but can be played with a pick. What an amazing sound! The other Bourgeois is the Luke Bryan edition, only 100 made worldwide, once it’s gone, that’s it!! This has a Walnut back and sides, Torrified Sitka Spruce top and a Ziricote fingerboard with Antler inlays. Talk about a big “growly” sound, oh baby! 😍 These are both limited editions, so grab them while you can!

We also have two beautiful Eastman’s that came in. The sunburst model has is an all solid wood Adirondack Spruce top with Rosewood back and sides. A Bluegrass beauty! The natural colored Eastman is also all solid wood Thermo-cured Sitka Spruce top with an Ovangkol back and sides and a pickup! These are beautiful models, come on in and try them out and see what you think! And we’re always open to the idea of trades towards the purchase of another instrument so don’t be afraid to ask! We are open 10 to 5 Monday through Saturday and 12 to 4 on Sunday, see you soon. 🤟🏼

What a fun week this last week!! 🤘We jammed and jammed and Jammed! Woohoo! We were able to see a lot of live music with our friends this week, like the Lakeside Hippies and Sunday Artcoustics! ❤️ I always love the variety of musicians that come to the Sunday Artcoustics. We jammed out by the Bearskin trail, Northern Waters Distillery, and of course in the shop! Boy did we have fun! And thank you to everyone who came out and supported the shop this week, we couldn’t do it without you! ❤️

And we have a lot of things shaping up for the fall and winter season as well as the rest of the summer. So watch for all the cool things that we have coming up. We’ll always be jamming year-round with some special surprises along the way! All I can say right now is we have BIG plans! 🎶🤘

New arrivals at Island City Acoustics!!! We were able to get some beautiful new Eastman guitars in along with 2 Troublesome Creek full wooden body Banjolynn’s! We were getting pretty well bought out of instruments and this shipment came in last week so here’s a few details… Prices here range from $499 to $1300. Most of these guitars have pick ups installed and two of the cutaways, the OM, and one of the dreads have solid wooden thermo-cured tops with laminated mahogany back & sides. The 12 string, the OO, and the Burst cut away are all solid wood guitars with thermo-cured spruce tops, Sapele back & sides, and Ovangkol back & sides. These guitars are incredibly beautiful and have amazing action and play ability, you will not find a better guitar in this price range! 🔥 and what’s more, I will be expecting a few more Eastman guitars, 2 Blue Ridge pre-war design dreads and some more Bourgeois guitars since the ones I had sold out! The Blue Ridge guitars will arrive this week and the Bourgeois and other Eastman’s will arrive early next week. All solid wood beauties!!! 😍

The Banjolynn’s are made by Troublesome Creek out of Hindman Kentucky. They are all solid wood, curly maple back and neck with a red Virginia spruce top. I currently have two in stock and if history has been any teacher, they won’t be here long! And worth mentioning, since Troublesome Creek is a nonprofit, and all of their instruments are built by people in alcohol and drug recovery. I donate 5% of every single sale on every instrument in the form of a check directly back to them. So not only are you getting a super sweet, banjo, guitar, mountain dulcimer or mandolin, your purchase is actively supporting a non-profit that is striving to make peoples lives better.❤️

So, just another little post catch everyone up out there in Instagram and Facebook land. I guess the first thing to let everyone know is that there will be no Sunday Artcoustics hosted by Earth Goods this week, I bet you’re wondering why? Because our very good friends, Parker, and Perry are playing in their band The Lakeside Hippies at Bad Bones Barbecue in Arbor Vitae this Sunday starting at 5 o’clock. So we’re all going to go there and support them. and show them a little bit of love! ❤️ Amazing food, and amazing entertainment don’t miss it!

We also had an awesome jam here last night at the shop, it was so much fun and so many people showed up. I unfortunately did have to limit the size of the crowd last night so there were a couple of people that couldn’t play, but they’re planning on coming early to the next one! That being said, pay attention to our jam schedule, it will be uploaded here shortly and you’ll see everything that we have going on for the month of August so stay tuned!!!! 🔥🤘 and of course, thank you to everyone who came out to support the shop again this last week, I am just absolutely in love with this musical community!❤️

So….. we’re going to try and scatter a few pictures throughout the week over a couple of posts instead of one post with 8,000 pictures on it! So much happens during the week that it’s hard to just wrap it all up in one post at the beginning of the following week! We had a lot of fun this week, as usual! Sunday Artcoustics hosted by Leah at Earth Goods was just awesome! Be sure to listen to the video clip of the “Bassmaster” Perry Smith! We had a great outside jam last Wednesday at the Minocqua Museum, it really is fun to play outside when the weather is beautiful! I wasn’t able to make the campfire jam hosted by Northern Waters Distillery but from everyone who attended they said they loved it!

For the rest of this month, we have the beginner jam workshop put on by Sylvia on Tuesday the 28th here at the shop from 5 to 6:30. Wednesday from 5 to 7 here at the shop, we have the open acoustic jam, and Thursday, Sylvia has the fiddle slow jam from 3:30 to 5:00 also here at the shop. Then we’ll have our new schedule out and I’ll post that here as well as on our website and at the shop. 🤟🏼

Last, but not least, there’s something that has surprised me that I never considered when I opened the shop. When you meet people and you play music together, you form a very unique bond that I have never experienced before. Yesterday at Artcoustics I learned that our new friend Kirk, (seen playing in the photo with Perry), is heading back to North Carolina, and we will hopefully see him again around Christmas time otherwise it will have to be next year sometime! What?! he came to almost every single jam over the last couple of months and he even performed out with Perry and The Lakeside Hippies! Just awesome! Kirk is just one example of the many people we have come to know as friends. I am sad to see them go, but so excited to see who will come and drift in and out of our lives and in the Minocqua area and share that joy of Music together with us! ❤️🎶

This is Willie Mandeville. He is a classical and acoustic guitar teacher that lives in Trondheim Norway! He has family here and a while back he reached out to us to have a custom built, nylon string, full carbon, travel guitar made from KLOS. Well, they knocked it out of the park! Willie was very happy with his custom build. 👌 It showed up on time as promised and setup exactly the way he wanted it. Willie is on Instagram as Check him out! He also does lessons online.
