GAP CERTIFIED! This is a happy day at The Greensted! GAP stands for Good Agricultural Practices meaning - our Microgreens and Salad Greens are grown, packaged, stored and transported in a manner that minimizes the risk of contamination by microbial pathogens common to fresh fruit and vegetables. This 3rd party audit is often required by larger entities (ie distributors and grocery / health food stores) before they will purchase wholesale from a producer. This is a good checks and balances process to keep consumers safe from food born illness.

Fun fact 1: we are the only Microgreens farm in Minnesota listed on the USDA GAP sight!

Fun fact 2: we earned 730 points out of 745 possible or we passed with a score of 97.98%! Worth spending 2 years preparing for this audit.
