New arrival of the day: D. Sablu “s/t” 7” on 11PM Records. Are you ready? Like a bat out of hell, D. Sablu debuts their first 7 inch on 11 PM records, with breakneck rock n roll inspired punk from none other than New Orleans. Harkening back to some of the best No Way Records releases, it bends hardcore punk to become something reminiscent of Carbonas meets Southside Stranglers. Three songs of total fury, get ready to see them on tour all over the USA!

Check ‘em out in Mpls soon! Ask a punk.

New arrival of the day: Pelican “Ascending” LP on Run For Cover Records. Pelican has now repackaged an EP of 4 Flickering Resonance era tracks as a new 12” EP - Ascending. Pelican fans will recognize the last two tracks “Adrift” and “Tending the Embers” which were self released digitally in 2024 and were only available physically on a limited number of cassette tapes. This 12” also features a vocal version of Flickering Resonance’s lead single “Cascading Crescent” featuring Geoff Rickly of Thursday. This version of the track was previously only available on a limited number of 7”s so this is the first time that it will be released digitally as well as being made widely available on a physical format. The EP’s title track “Ascending” is a track that was recorded around the same time as Flickering Resonance, but was left off of the album as it felt more like its own distinct entity. Bringing these 4 tracks together onto one EP further cements the idea that Pelican’s rule-free approach is at the core of what makes Pelican a mainstay across all of the genres they explore.

New arrival of the day: Sacrilege “Total Sacrilege - The Demos” LP on Radiation Records. The earliest and rawest recordings from UK anarcho-punk/crust pioneers Sacrilege. Formed in the mid-1980s, Sacrilege emerged from the British DIY underground with a sound that fused the political urgency of the anarcho scene with the heaviness of Discharge and the creeping darkness that would later define their crossover into thrash and doom. This LP features their 1984 and 1985 demos, capturing the band at their most direct and uncompromising—raging, unpolished, and driven by conviction—as well as a previously unreleased live set recorded at the Ambulance Station squat in London in 1985, a raw document of their power in the chaotic, squat-based scene of the time. Limited remastered edition with poster and printed inner sleeve.

New arrival of the day: Loosey “A Retrospective: 2023-2025” LP on TKO Records. Following the tragic end of shooting-star punk greats New York Hounds, Loosey began as a coping mechanism for a pair of friends with a shared love of rock ‘n’ roll. Loosey is pure glam jubilation, mixing the big stomp of Slade, the classic power pop of Teenage Fanclub, and riffy pub rock like AC/DC into a single, DIY-driven package. This full-length collects the band’s 2023 and 2024 promo cassettes along with new material for ten total tracks introducing the masses to the world of Loosey.

New arrival of the day: The Observers “Collection” LP on Taken By Surprise Records.

The record compiles tracks from their three EPs released between 2003 and 2005 on Super Secret Records, Jonnycat Records, and Deranged Records, a track from their first demo, as well as their posthumous contribution to the MAXIMUM ROCKNROLL - PUBLIC SAFETY LP compilation in 2006, accompanied by a previously unreleased track from the same recording session and another unreleased track from a live performance on KBOO’s LIFE DURING WARTIME radio show.

Top shelf melodic hc punk at its finest!

New arrival of the day: Portrayal of Guilt “…Beginning of the End” LP on Run For Cover Records.

…Beginning of the End is the latest album from Portrayal of Guilt, a curious title for a band that has treated each release like a new creative start, constantly reinventing themselves since their inception less than a decade ago. In that relatively short time, the Austin trio have not only toured the world over, created their own musical eco-system and released three seminal full-length albums, they have done it in a manner that avoided compromise, welcomed free experimentation and avoided labels outside of “menacing,” “compelling” and “must hear.”

Clocking in at around 32 minutes across eleven new tracks, …Beginning of the End was recorded and mixed by Phillip Odom between March-June 2025 with mastering handled by Will Yip. …Beginning of the End embraces both the groove and avant garde, revisiting the raw, teeth-gnashing intensity of their previous work while toying with nu-metal, alternative rock, trip hop, dark ambient and other disparate influences. The latest effort feels like a band that has traversed every shadowy corner of heavy music, distilling their decade of innovation and knowledge into a singular show of force, recalling moments of greatness found on releases from Deftones, Massive Attack, Dystopia, Deathspell Omega, Celtic Frost and Cursed among many others.
