🏃🏽‍♀️Running the Kekekabic Trail with Carey deVictoria-Michel🌛

Free Presentation on 5/21 @ 6PM - at Lake State Mountaineering

“In August 2025, I ran the Kekekabic trail with Jenny Abegg from the east to the west in a little over 13 hours. During this talk, I’ll share what motivated the adventure, the process of training (physically and mentally), and how the run went. I have been a runner on and off over the last 10-15 years, but this was by far the longest run I had done. It also was a meaningful run as a new mom and it was a process that helped while process grief. The trail was wild, peaceful and beautiful and I look forward to sharing more about moments along the run.”

“The workshop will be focused on making colors pop in your artwork and understanding how colors work with and against each other. I will help guide participants through some color exercises and assist them in creating a landscape or animal portrait of their choosing. Please bring 1-3 reference photos you would like to work from.”

Eli Nord (HBOS) and Steve Schreader (LSM) have joined forces to bring back some of the vitality and excitement that the greater Twin Cities used to enjoy each year during the Midwest Mountaineering Spring Expo as we welcome the oncoming warm weather. For paddlers, climbers and outdoor enthusiasts alike, what better way to kick off your year than with some discounted gear and outdoor community.

This event is FREE to attend and will be hosted at Hornbeck Boats and Outdoor Supply (HBOS). There will be a large event tent covering the entire patio outside HBOS/Padraigs Brewing where we will hold presentations, LSM, and larger boat vendors as-well-as the Sunday Pancake Breakfast and Paint N Sip.
