White and Caribbean blue, 6 feet long with a compact 8 inch handle.

I love builds at this size. Short handle, manageable length, easy to throw — it feels like a whip made for a stage. Clean lines, bright colors, photographs beautifully under lights.

One real-world note though: white paracord looks incredible on day one and gets dirty fast. Grass, dirt, dust, whatever you crack it on — it can show. If you're shopping for a light-colored bullwhip, just go in knowing it's going to develop some character pretty quickly. Waxing helps maintain the color longer, but the best way to protect it is to only crack white paracord on clean floors or indoors.

Royal blue and yellow, 7 feet long and a 12 inch handle, with the Tryzub plaited into the handle.

The Tryzub is the trident on the Ukrainian coat of arms — a symbol that's been carried through more than a thousand years of Ukrainian identity. Plaiting it cleanly into a handle takes some careful counting and a lot of pattern checking, but I'm really happy with how it came out. The shape reads well from a distance and the blue/yellow paracord looks great together.

This one's got a 14 inch handle, which is on the long side — longer than I'd personally recommend for most people. That said, some folks love a long handle, and if that's your preference, this is exactly the kind of build you're after. 8 feet long, squared heel, waxed finish.⁠

Featuring my new UltraWhip in my 40K Bullwhip series!

16 plait paracord, Royal Blue and Gold, with the Ultima, sword, and banner patterns worked directly into the build. This one pushed the limits of what I thought was possible with a 16 plait design — and I’m very happy with how it turned out!

The thong on the UltraWhip is plaited in a pattern I call the Ancient Banner.

In 40K lore, every Ultramarines company carries a relic banner — woven and re-woven across ten thousand years, stitched with the names of fallen brothers.
Royal blue and gold plaited down the length of this whips thong, with no repeating sections through the whole pattern. This pattern is a mind bender to plait but I'm really happy with how it turned out!

Triple plaited, shot loaded, finished in wax. Built to last long enough to maybe become a relic of its own one day.

When I was a kid, I had a friend with a small collection of Warhammer 40K minis — Space Marines and some Orks. I wanted to paint a squad of Ultramarines so badly. Royal blue armor, gold trim, the works. But my Dad didn't get it for me (I still love Dad).

This whip is my best second place! The heel knot, the transition, every strand of blue and gold — it's the army I never got to paint, finally finished. Twenty-something years late.

I'm curious how many folks that follow me are Warhammer 40K fans, there has to be a big overlap in these hobbies, right? Let me know below

Introducing the UltraWhip. ⚔️

This one's been living in my head for a long time, inspired by the Ultramarines from Warhammer 40K. The handle is plaited in a custom pattern that includes the iconic Ultima and a sword design inspired by the Imperial gladius, all in royal blue and gold paracord. Silver collar, pirate-skull concho, triple plaited and shot loaded like all of my bullwhips.

A bullwhip worthy of the Emperor's finest, courage and honor, forged in paracord.

"My Puddin'!"

Tuesday I showed off the Joking Bullwhip, Thursday I showed off the Catwhip, and today I'm showing off the Harlequin Bullwhip, it's been a DC Universe kind of week! These whips are a fun DC villain series that I always enjoy plaiting. This Harlequin Bullwhip is a 5 footer with an 8 inch handle. I think this whip looks nice in the smaller sizes, especially the shorter 8 inch handle framed by the white accent knots.

The Catwhip, I think this whip's simplicity is what makes it so beautiful. No mid knot, a rounded heel knot, all black paracord, and a herringbone plaiting pattern throughout the whip. I would always recommend this whip to someone starting out because it comes standard with a 10 inch handle (my favorite all around whip length), and the black paracord can take a beating and still look great ⬛
