Hitchhiker or unlikely symbiosis?

Symbiosis is when multiple organisms work together for mutual benefit. In this case, a Trochus Snail and a Bubble-Tip Anemone made an unlikely duo. While on the snail’s back, the anemone gets more opportunities to catch food, while the snail gets an upgrade to their shell defense!

The Red Venezuelan Cory (Corydoras venezuelanus) is a great addition to tanks looking for a pop of color in their cleanup crew! We recommend at least 20 gallons for a school of 6. Here’s some more facts about them as seen in the video:

•Grow to about 2.5”
•Prefer a school of 6 or more
•Love live plants, rock, and plenty of driftwood to mimic their natural environment
•Omnivorous scavenger and accepting of most prepared foods
•Peaceful and get along with most fish that don’t attack them
•Can breathe air from the water surface thanks to a special intestinal lining
•Similar in appearance to the Bronze Corydora but is a different species altogether
