Design is as much about removing as it is about adding. Therefore, it should be no surprise that one of the most helpful tools we have is the 36” yard waste bag. It’s not glamorous but it is very necessary.

Is this the most incredible tablescape ever? Maybe!

The golfers at The Club at Golden Valley were treated to a special event in their honor and we were fortunate to provide the florals. And, while we love the combo of pink and green, this is the first time we’ve done pink *on a green*.

Remember, luxury doesn’t have to be stuffy; a look can be both refined and playful. A clear design choice and a sharp eye for detail can elevate any table into something special.

Have you ever wondered how to force open a bird of paradise flower? Probably not but maybe you are now. We’ll show you how.

Start by gently getting your thumbs under and into the casing (called a bract) and slowly pulling the flower out. The process is kinda like shucking a very large pea pod.

Now you can take your bird of paradise from “Meh” to “Pa-pow!”

We’re absolutely swooning this new varietal of carnation: the Majesta. Stately and elegant with beautiful dimensionality: what’s not to love?

At a recent client meeting, the groom showed us a photo and said “This what I want”. Having never seen it, we put in a special order so we could assess the Majesta carnation in person. It is truly a knockout. Here are some pictures of it with flowers in our garden so you can see where it pairs well (and in some cases, less so). We’re especially loving it with creamy white, dusty, pink and with deep burgundy.

Big thanks to our client for the introduction to Majesta! We expect this to be a long and glorious love affair.

One of the most common questions we get is “Where do you get the flowers?” There’s no single answer. Depending on the needs of the client, we may end up at a nursery, in the woods, or in our own gardens. We also go to the flower wholesaler. Every client, every project.

Is the wholesaler cute? Nope, not at all.

And that’s good because “cute” isn’t the focus. Quality florals is the focus and that means catering to their health, protection, and longevity. The chilly air slows any further growth of flowers, the neon lighting inhibits algae growth in water buckets, delicate blooms are bagged or boxed to accommodate transport.

When it comes to our clients, quality product is paramount. We can hit up a cute store - or better yet, a cute cocktail bar - after the floral delivery.
