I am aware of the accusations being made about my character, and I wanted to take a moment to address them openly.
First, yes, I am a recovering addict. I have struggled with substance abuse for most of my adult life. In fact, Upperclass Shelf originally started as an outlet to help support my sobriety. Unfortunately, addiction is a lifelong battle, and recently I experienced a relapse brought on by constant travel, spending most nights alone in hotels, and lacking the structure and support systems that help keep me grounded.
About two weeks ago, I made the decision to step away from the brand and focus on my mental, physical, and spiritual health by relocating to Thailand. I was burned out, unhealthy, and could no longer continue burning the candle at both ends. I needed to make a radical change in order to create a positive change in my life. I chose myself and my recovery.
Part of this transition included stepping away from several pre-existing commitments, including the Front Row Card show in Las Vegas. This is where the issue involving the brand Selective Priorities originated. CONTINUED IN COMMENTS
