Welcome Friends!
For those that don’t know me, I love art in all its forms, and believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy it. I am drawn to creating jewelry- because it’s art that's affordable, wearable, easily gift-able, and fun to celebrate life with.
The name White Sands Clay comes from my love of the gorgeous white sandy beaches here in the Gulf Coast, specifically Navarre. You'll find many nautical/beach themed pictures, artifacts, and more in my studio, and much of my work is inspired by nature. Whether by their beauty, their life-cycle, or by the energy they bring into my space.
While I make art with several mediums, I am drawn to the craft of clay because of its delicacy, intricacy, and because of its tactile nature.
So much of our lives are consumed with digital media and though I love working with wood as well, I find myself craving the ability to create something I can touch and hold in my hands. I thrive in peaceful environments, so much of my work is done during the afternoon and in the quiet, early morning hours.
