Picture it. Milton, 2026. It’s a dreary, rainy day in the middle of June. The world is a dumpster fire but a wry lil’ bookseller just got her hands on some copies of Rachel Ekstrom Courage’s latest book, the second in her beloved Golden Girls murder mystery trilogy. The bookseller sneaks a few chapters before putting them out on the shelves for all to enjoy.

Listen, I’d love to be a Blanche but let’s get real, I’m definitely a Sophia 😂

But the second book in the Golden Girls Cozy Mystery series is now in the shop! We’re open till 5 today 😉

Yup! The shop will be closed this Thursday, 6/18, so we can buy a house….really!

We close on the sale of our current house Thursday morning and close on the purchase of our new house Thursday afternoon…then we’ll probably need a pint or two from to help process the whole thing 🤯

So, we’ll be closed on Thursday. The second day this month we’ve had to close ☹️ But even though June has been cuckoo bananas, fingers crossed this is the last time we’ll have to close for a while!

My daughter is participating in Milton Public Library-Wisconsin Little Owl/Wise Owl summer reading program and tonight is the Launch Party. So much library love this week! But, we have to close a scootch early 🤷🏼‍♀️

But, like, it’s a library party so can you blame me?!
