This past weekend Michelle and Corey had a small intimate ceremony and she was one of the sweetest brides I have worked with.
She came out to pick up her florals and we had a fun chat about their two week road trip in that cute little van in the picture (the steering wheel is on the right side!).
I love it when my couples truly embrace the day and embrace life in general. Since losing one of my best friends in January I have really tried daily, to put things in perspective and let God, not me…do the directing. Life is such a stinking beautiful gift and I love that I get to be part of so many couples starting their lives together as a unit. 🩷

Some weddings I am able to use every single stem from the farm, other weddings we have to source from local growers or the wholesaler.
My brain has been on overdrive the last week looking ahead at 2027 and thinking about what has worked and what hasn’t over the years.
I feel like I have a new sense of purpose and some really exciting ideas for next year (so stay tuned).
For now though I will be sure to share all of our beautiful weddings coming up this summer and fall. 🩷

We have mixed bouquets and Peony bunches available at East End Coffee!
A friendly reminder, if you are taking them to graduation I would take a water bottle along to set your bouquet in during graduation. Warm temps and flowers out of water aren’t the best combo!

An early May arbor full of seasonal beauty from 2 years ago. Janelle and Cody just celebrated their two year anniversary this week. This was such a fun wedding and really unique venue outside of Mechanicsburg. I typically do not book weddings that are more than 45 minutes driving distance but this was one I was glad I said yes!

2018 was the hardest growing year I have ever had. I think I quit by mid September that year and just called it for what it was. We had record breaking amounts of rain all summer long. Anytime someone mentions the year 2018 I seriously have heart palpitations that I’ve concluded are a trauma response…lol.

This season has been one to test the limits as well. I have been wondering if our Dahlias were going to jump on the train with the list of other failed crops.

Three years ago we started overwintering our Dahlias and stopped digging tubers every fall. This past winter was really really cold and I wasn’t sure if they were going to make it. I kind of had myself prepared to scramble and use my precious business savings to buy new tubers.

Thankfully when I pulled off the tarps today I was greeted with life! We had very minimal loss in the entire field and I immediately sent Clint a text with this picture and took a huge sigh of relief.

For anyone wanting to do this with their own Dahlias the key is a thick thick thick layer of straw followed by tarps over the straw.

We aren’t even a full month into the season and it has been HARD…so for today I am going to celebrate this win and the fact that we should have a lot of Dahlias blooming in just over 2 months. 🩷🧡

Over the years we have offered a variety of Mother’s Day offerings from floral delivery to pop ups at the farm to bouquet bars.

Every spring the flowers bloom at a different time and we work with what we have. When there is an abundance we deliver and have pop ups. When the weather doesn’t cooperate we make do with what we’re given.

This year we will be offering gift certificates on our website (or you can contact me directly) for mom to receive a bouquet any Friday during the months of June - September.

I’ve decided this is quite fine for this year and there is no use in stressing over what I can’t control. My son has a track meet on Saturday so I am going to go watch him and his team and have a relaxing Sunday!

Have a wonderful week! 🩷🧡

I used to take on weddings at any time of the year. Last year I decided to tighten the window of our 2026 weddings from mid May to mid October. I found myself ordering in more flowers than I cared to for those early and late season dates. October is also a crazy busy month both in our personal lives and with all of the end of season must do’s here on the farm.

I mentioned last week that sometimes I let imposter syndrome creep in. It doesn’t happen very often anymore and I think that two things have really helped. Taking time to reflect at how far you have come. Think back to wherever it is you started, it is so easy to miss all of the growth over the years. Take a few minutes to be proud of what you’ve accomplished!

The second is setting boundaries. Setting those boundaries and standing firm will release chains you didn’t even know you were carrying. We can’t be everything to everyone and when we try to please everyone else we are racing towards a major crash.

You’ve got this!!

Happy Tuesday! 🩷🧡

Throwback to 2019.

I have learned so much since the early days.

2016 was the year I decided to stick my toes in the water with this little biz. 2017 was a blur and I really had no clue what I was doing. 2018 rained and rained and rained, if I hadn’t been so stubborn I would have quit and walked away that year. By 2019 things were starting to click into place.
Even after all that I have learned and dare say accomplished since that first seed was sown in 2016 I still get imposter syndrome.
Next week I am going to do a few posts on how to combat those feelings of inadequacy, not hitting goals and why scaling up is not always the best or right thing to do!
Happy Friday. 🩷🧡

Most wedding ceremonies are around 20 minutes. Most arbors take at least 2 hours to construct on site and are usually one of the priciest items in the budget.

This is why I am so big on repurposing from ceremony to reception. It is a waste to only see these beauties for a short amount of time when guests will be in another area for hours.

Julia and Austin did just that. I cut their florals down after photos and rehung on the inside arbor during cocktail hour. It’s a win win and everyone gets to enjoy them all evening!
