🚨 Big Dave’s Tackle Fishing Report – Saturday, June 6, 2026! 🎣
Hey anglers! Big Dave here with the latest from Port Elizabeth and the Delaware Bay area. The fishing has been strong and we’re keeping it positive out there, folks! Keep those lines wet and those smiles big. 🐟
Delaware Bay & Bayshore (Port Elizabeth, Fortescue, etc.):
The striped bass bite remains outstanding with slot fish up to 46” reported, and some monster blues mixed in from Cape May Point up toward Atlantic City. Black drum action continues to be fantastic on the shoals in 10-20 feet of water—fish to 60+ lbs are the norm, with boaters limiting out up to a dozen fish per trip on fresh clams. Customers are crushing it with our fresh shucked clams (no salt!) and live bloodworms. A Huge Congratulation's to Cooper with his Monster drum with his Dad Kyle Beggs ( Dirty Jerzy Tackle ) Smiling in the background !!

Fluke fishing is steadily improving in the back bays and inlets. Down the Shore (Sea Isle, Stone Harbor, Avalon to Cape May):Anglers are picking up keepers (with plenty of shorts) on live minnows, Gulp baits, and drifting on outgoing tides. Stripers and bluefish are active in the surf, bays, inlets, and along the beaches—clams and bunker working well. Some quality black drum still showing on clams during higher tides. Sea bass remain strong offshore on the wrecks.
Bait of the Week: Fresh bloodworms, shucked clams, and frozen options are flying out the door. Clams are the ticket for drum and stripers, bloodworms for everything else. We’ve got you covered for all your inshore and offshore needs!
