Santa’s Elf: Millie

Santa’s Elf: Millie ❄️Santa’s North Pole mailroom, run by Millie 💌
Letters • Wishes • Kindness • Magic ✨ Hi! Because kids (and grown-ups!) need something to believe in.

I’m Kimberly — but during the most magical time of year (and honestly, all year long), I go by Millie the Elf 💌🧝‍♀️✨

I live in Millstadt, IL — a sweet little town that’s become home — and I’m the one-woman elf shop behind Santa’s Elf: Millie (Millstadt)

By day, I work remotely in healthcare. On weekends, you can find me behind the deli counter at our local IGA (yes, seriously — come say hi befor

e noon!). But when the glitter comes out and the cocoa’s warm, I become Millie: Santa’s helper, mailbox manager, and joy-spreader-in-chief.

💌 What I Do:
North Pole Post (available year-round!)
✨ Personalized letters from Santa — for Christmas, birthdays, big life changes, or just a magical pick-me-up
✨ Each one is written by me (not AI, not a template!) and totally custom to your kiddo or loved one
✨ Mailed or sent as a digital file — your choice! Christmas Bundles (seasonal only)
🎁 A magical bundle that includes a personalized letter + a hand-painted ornament
🎄 Bundle pricing is based on how many kids are in the household (1 to 7+)
📦 Local delivery or USPS shipping

Elf-Made Magic Ornaments
🎨 One-of-a-kind, hand-painted keepsakes
💚 Available as part of a bundle or as a standalone surprise
✨ Designs are selected at random — part of the magic!

🎄 Why I Do This
Because Christmas magic isn’t just for December. Because I love creating things that make people smile. Every letter and ornament is created by me — from my kitchen table — with holiday music playing and cocoa in hand. I don’t outsource. I don’t mass-produce. It’s just me, doing what I love and sending a little joy into the world one order at a time.

🎀❄️ What I Really Want Millie to Become ❄️🎀

I’ve shared a lot lately about rebuilding Santa’s Elf: Millie, but I want to share a little more about why I’m doing it — and what I’m hoping Millie can eventually become.

I’m not building Millie because I think I’m going to get rich selling Christmas letters. That’s never been the goal.

I want to build something that gives kids a little more of what I think they desperately need: magic, innocence, kindness, creativity, belonging, and a place where they can simply be kids.

Christmas has this incredible way of letting children believe that something impossible might actually be possible. That Santa really might be reading their letter. That an elf at the North Pole might know their name. That reindeer might really fly on Christmas Eve.

I don’t want kids to grow out of that any faster than they have to. ❤️

But I also think that magic can be used to do something meaningful.

My goal is to make Millie fun, interactive, and educational without making it feel like homework.

I’m currently exploring ways to offer things like free coloring pages, activity pages, puzzles, learning activities, creative challenges, and other little pieces of the North Pole that kids and families can enjoy together.

And I have a few other ideas tucked away that I’m not quite ready to share yet. 😉❄️

Because not every child enjoys the same things.

Some kids love to color. Some love video games. Some love books. Some love writing stories. Some would rather be in the kitchen baking. Some love music, puzzles, science, numbers, or creating things.

I want there to eventually be something in Millie’s world for all of them.

I want a child to learn without realizing they’re learning.

I want them to solve a problem, use their imagination, read a story, follow directions, create something they’re proud of, complete a challenge, or discover something new — all while having fun.

And I want as much of that as possible to be available for free.

Because giving back to kids is a huge part of why I’m doing this.

And when I say all kids, I mean it.

Even the ones who don’t necessarily believe in Santa anymore.

Maybe they’re getting older. Maybe they’ve figured things out. Maybe Santa just isn’t their thing — but they have a little brother, sister, cousin, or friend whose eyes still light up when they hear sleigh bells.

I don’t think those kids should suddenly be pushed out of the magic.

I’d love to create special letters for them, too — tailored a little differently. Instead of trying to convince them that Santa is something they have to believe in, Millie can talk to them about what “Santa” represents.

Generosity. Kindness. Giving without expecting anything in return. Creating joy for someone else. And sometimes, helping protect a little bit of Christmas magic for someone younger than you. ❤️

Maybe growing up doesn’t have to mean you’re no longer part of the magic.

Maybe it means you get to help create it.

That’s something I would love for Millie to teach.

Because more than anything, I want Millie to stand for kindness and belonging.

Kids are growing up in a world where it’s incredibly easy to feel different, left out, lonely, or like you don’t quite fit somewhere.

I want Millie’s world to be different.

There shouldn’t be a “right” kind of kid who gets to participate.

The artist belongs.

The gamer belongs.

The reader belongs.

The writer belongs.

The kid who loves to cook belongs.

The kid who learns differently belongs.

The quiet kid belongs.

The little kid who wholeheartedly believes in Santa belongs.

And the older kid who’s starting to understand what Santa really means belongs, too.

Through all of it, I want to encourage something incredibly simple:

Be kind. Help someone. Include someone. Make someone smile.

If Millie can help a child believe in Santa for another year, I will love that.

If she can make a child excited to read, create, learn, or try something new, I’ll love that too.

And if somewhere along the way she can help even one child feel a little more included, a little more confident, a little less alone, or inspire them to show kindness to someone else…

That’s the kind of magic I want Millie to create. ❤️

This is going to take time. I’m still figuring it out, building it, dreaming it up, and probably coming up with way too many ideas along the way. 😂

But that’s my goal.

Not just Christmas letters.

Not just coloring pages.

A little North Pole world where kids can believe, learn, play, create, give, belong, and most importantly — be kids. 🎅🏻💌❄️

And maybe, when they’re ready, they can grow from believing in the magic to helping create the magic for someone else. 🎀✨

🎄✨ Meet Millie the Elf ✨🎄

New look, same very important job at the North Pole. ❤️

Millie isn’t just an elf.

She’s Santa’s Elf. 🎅🏻

And that’s a title she takes pretty seriously.

Millie helps Santa with one of the most important jobs at the North Pole — keeping in touch with the kiddos who believe in him.

She’s a letter writer, a mailbox checker, a keeper of Christmas wishes and, most importantly, someone Santa trusts to help make sure a little bit of North Pole magic finds its way to the kids who need it. 💌

If you send something to the North Pole, there’s a pretty good chance Millie has her hands on it.

She reads the letters. She knows the names. She hears the stories. She helps Santa keep track of the big accomplishments, the funny little things, the Christmas wishes and all those tiny details that make each kid special.

She’s sweet, a little sassy, probably drinks entirely too much hot cocoa and has never met a Christmas decoration she didn’t think needed just a little more sparkle. ✨😂

But underneath all of that, Millie has a really important job.

She helps keep the magic alive.

Because there are only so many years when a child truly believes their letter traveled all the way to the North Pole.

Only so many Christmas mornings when Santa feels completely, unquestionably real.

Only so many years when seeing their own name on a letter from the North Pole can make their entire face light up.

Millie knows those years don’t last forever.

So while they’re here, she’s going to make them count. ❤️

And for the grown-ups who know there isn’t actually a tiny elf sitting behind a desk at the North Pole with a cup of hot cocoa… 😉😂

Millie is my elf alter ego.

She’s the Christmas-loving, letter-writing, idea-having, slightly chaotic little part of me behind all of this. When I’m creating something for Millie, writing a letter back to a kiddo or trying to figure out how to make something feel just a little more magical — that’s Millie.

She’s a character I’ve created, but she’s also a role I take pretty seriously.

Because whether the magic is coming from the actual North Pole or from my desk in Millstadt, the little person receiving it doesn’t know the difference.

And I think that’s pretty special. ❤️

So that’s Millie.

Santa’s helper.
Keeper of the mail.
Friend to kiddos.
Professional hot cocoa drinker.
My Christmas alter ego.
And one very proud little keeper of Christmas magic. 🎄💌✨

She’s Millie the Elf — and Santa couldn’t run his mailroom without her.

🎄🚧 The North Pole is currently under construction… 🚧🎄

AKA: I’m completely redoing Millie’s website and apparently decided I didn’t have enough going on. 😂

The problem with being the decision maker, website designer, graphic designer, marketing lady, invoicing lady, letter writer, order packer AND the person who has 20 new ideas every time she finishes one thing… is that I have no one to tell me, “Kim, that’s enough.” 💀

So here we are.

I’m changing quite a few things with Santa’s Elf: Millie this year, but one of the biggest is something I’m really excited about:

💌 Letters to Millie are going to be FREE.

Kids will be able to write a letter to Millie, mail it to her P.O. Box, and get a letter back. Simple as that.

These won’t be the fancy personalized letters — just regular paper, a festive envelope (red? green? I haven’t made that executive decision yet 😂), and their name based on the letter they send.

I’ll accept donations to help cover paper, ink, envelopes and postage, and they’ll be VERY appreciated, but they are absolutely not required.

Can’t donate? Send the letter anyway. ❤️

Then there will still be North Pole Post for anyone wanting the extra-special version — fully personalized with all the cute details, special paper and North Pole bling. ✨ And I’m actually LOWERING the price from last year!

The ornament + personalized letter bundles are coming back too, also at a lower price. 🎁

And because I apparently cannot leave well enough alone, Millie is also looking at a few other cute things for kiddos that I’m hoping to work in this year. 👀🎄

Do I have time for all of my ideas?

Probably not.

Am I going to try anyway?

Obviously. 😂💀

So please be patient while the North Pole is under construction! The website is NOT currently open for ordering while I get everything rebuilt, reorganized and ready.

I’m wearing approximately 47 different elf hats over here and adding another idea to the list every five minutes. 😂

But I really, really love what Millie is turning into this year, and I can’t wait to show you everything when it’s ready. ❤️🎄

Stay tuned. The construction crew is doing her best. 💀

🎄 A Little Thank-You & A Peek Ahead from Millie the Elf 🩷

This season may have been smaller and more intentional, but the joy it brought was anything but.

To every family who trusted me with their child’s name, their story, and a piece of their holiday magic — thank you. You welcomed Millie into your traditions, and that is something I hold so close to my heart.

As the season winds down, I’ve found myself full of ideas, dreaming up new ways to connect, create, and keep the magic going beyond Christmas. This isn’t just a holiday project for me — it’s something I truly want to pour my heart into and grow with purpose and care.

I’m so excited to introduce Millie to more families throughout the year, build meaningful traditions, and continue creating moments that feel warm, thoughtful, and real ✨

And if there’s one thing I believe in, it’s community — so I’m always open to thoughts, ideas, and gentle wishes from the families who make this so special 🤍

Here’s to a joyful new year and so much more North Pole magic to come
