We had the Aussies stop in on their trip - led by Paul and Robyn Mullen, they had a great group of folks traveling with them.
On another note, our 'Christmas Cactus Salesman of the Month' is Justin Scarred who is having folks stop in after seeing his videos of our place and wanting to buy our little plants. Imagine what we can do with his fantastic hot sauce!! ;-)

Over the past few weekends - we had even more really cool vehicles stop out at Spencer - and we love them all!
And yes, we have many, many more stopping out in the next week or two!

It is always great when Justin Scarred and his son London of Randomland Adventures stops out for a visit and see our progress on the old 'town'.
And I meant it when I said we sat and chatted for 3 1/2 hours that night - and anything and everything Route 66!
We are at the 40:00 minutes mark in case you wanted to see the best part of this video! (And yes, we are VERY biased!!)

The Southwest Missouri Corvette Club stopped out today to visit us and see our restoration progress. We had a lot of folks inside and Steph made some fresh lemon-blueberry bread and it was almost all gone!
Always good to see these groups stop out to see us!

We were able to add to our billboard! This really gives the Route 66 traveler (or even those from around here) and idea of what is just down the road: a helluva lot of Route 66 history - all in a quarter mile stretch!
We have some more we will add in the future as we get closer to the event (do I hear a Spencerfest sign??)

It's that time of year again when we have the Route 66 Association of Germany out with a group of riders from Germany AND Switzerland this time.
It is always good to see them as Spencer is a stop every time they come through the area!

📣 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT FROM SPENCER STATION!

We’re excited to share that our 1st Annual SpencerFest will officially take place on Saturday, October 17th, 2026 — a special celebration marking 100 years of Spencer on historic Route 66.

Earlier this year we had planned two additional festivals in June and August. However, both of those dates have since filled with tours and group visits, and hosting three major events on the same days would have created more chaos than celebration. So, we’re focusing our energy on making October’s SpencerFest truly unforgettable.

Another reason we’re shifting our plans: we’re working hard to have the Spencer Diner “open” for the October festivities.

Mark your calendars — October 17th is going to be a milestone moment for Spencer. More details coming soon as we prepare for a once‑in‑a‑century celebration.

With all the traffic and cool vehicles over the past few weekends, we were STILL able to get some more work done in the Diner.
This is a big step into the next rounds of construction in this space.

When this guy rolls into town! ;-)
Once again we had a GREAT visit with Justin Scarred of Randomland Adventures and he brought with him (again) his son London who actually chatted up the place a bit!
It was a 'brief' 3 1/2 HOUR visit talking everything Route 66!
(It was into the night when we finally wrapped up and said our goodbyes).
