We will be picking up corn tomorrow and delivering. As always watch for the post of times tomorrow. It all depends on the line and how far down the line we are in the morning. Yesterday the wait was 2-3 hours, but sometimes we wait longer. We will stick with the $5 a bag delivery fee. So $20 (corn cost) + $5 (delivery)= $25 a bag. I will take orders until tomorrow morning when we pick up. We will not be making a second trip this year.

This is a small family farm in McLoud. It has always had amazing corn. Some years are better than others. They have stated this year is a little smaller and has a few worms because of the rain and colder temps. For those of you who have been getting corn since we started this you know it a great thing they didn’t have to replant with a different variety! So, this is the same sweet corn we typically get.

🌽🌽 🌽 🌽 🌽 It’s that time again… SWEET CORN SEASON STARTS TUESDAY JUNE 24 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽

We’ve been getting tons of messages, and while we wish we could answer them all, the best way to get your questions answered is to read this post all the way to the end! Nearly everything you need to know is right here.

🌱 IMPORTANT NOTE: We feel very lucky to even have a crop this year! It’s been anything but a typical Oklahoma growing season — cooler-than-usual spring temps and nearly non-stop rain these past couple of months. Thankfully, some good ol’ Oklahoma heat and humidity finally showed up just in time to help the corn mature. We’re so grateful to have sweet corn ready to harvest!

👉 This year’s ears are running a little smaller than usual — but trust us, they’re just as sweet and delicious. And as happens in farm life, we’ve noticed a few worms have helped themselves to the tops of some ears. It’s purely cosmetic and a quick trim takes care of it. We just want to give you a heads-up and thank you in advance for your understanding!

🌽 We pick fresh corn almost hourly throughout the day — and we’ll be open for a few days… until it’s gone. There’s no way to predict exactly how long we’ll have corn, since it all depends on daily demand.

⏳ If you arrive and the line isn’t moving, please know there’s a reason. We might be waiting on the next fresh pick, servicing equipment, or managing logistics behind the scenes. We promise we’re not just sitting around — this is HARD, HOT work, and our team (mostly high schoolers!) gives it everything they’ve got.

🚗 Driving out late in the day? Please call us first to make sure we’re still open. We do cut the line off once we’ve reached capacity for the day, and we hate having to turn people away after a long drive. There's no set cutoff time — it’s entirely based on how the day’s line shapes up.

✨ This year marks our 50th season of selling sweet corn! Our family tradition began in 1976, and we’re honored to still be here all these years later — growing, harvesting, and sharing the sweetest corn with generations of loyal customers. From our family to yours, thank you for being a part of this journey!!!

💛 Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for making Nowakowski Sweet Corn a true Oklahoma summer tradition. We can’t wait to see you at the barn!

Corn is ready! We will be picking up Friday morning as early as possible. Cost, including the $5 delivery cost, is $25 a bag. Their post said 40 ears per bag. We will have a pickup location at Madill FBC and Crossway Church in sulphur. We will also come through Ada, Roff, and Ravia. Sulphur will most likely be our last stop of the day. We cannot give exact times, it will depend on the length of the line, but will post as early as possible.

For those of you who are new we get this corn from a McLoud farm. It is picked bag and placed in our vehicle all while we wait into line. It is the best corn sweet corn available in Oklahoma. I’ve included a few picture from the last several years.

Farmer Ben gave the report last night that the ears are plumping right up! Things are looking good. All of our barn help has been hired, shirts have been ordered, and lunch planning to feed 50 people daily is underway! It's still too early to give a start date, but watch for updates!

It’s that time of year again! Time to pick up sweet corn! We will be heading to McLoud on Friday to pick up corn. $18 a bag with our traditional $5 delivery fee makes the bags $23. Cut picked and delivered on Friday from Nowakowski Family Farm. Bags contain 35-40 corn depending on the size of the corn typically 40 or more per bag. Let me know how many bags you want.

07/07/2021

We have 2 bags of extra corn if anyone would like some.

07/04/2021

A quick update before we head to church. There is currently a limit on the corn of 8 bags per trip. We did speak with them and said maybe Thursday or so there will be more ripe and less of a line so we can get more bags at once. It has been a strange year because they had to replant and at different times. As always I checked before posting about a limit but things happen when you are a small family farm. They still have plenty of corn it’s just not ripe yet. I will update again on Wednesday night.

07/03/2021

No corn today! Maybe tomorrow, the wait is 3-4 hours at least and the amount would be limited by the time we get to the front of the line. Maybe tomorrow for those of you in Madill. Monday for sure.

Hmm. We are going to give it a try but no promises! If we can not get enough we will go back on Monday.

Looks like we will be going this weekend!! Maybe? I exact date yet waiting to see if it rains. Price is still $15 a bag but I will have to change my delivery fee because of gas price increase. This year I will charge $5 a bag up to 3 bags. If you want more than 3 bags you will not pay additional delivery price for those bags. . If you have any questions about this please let me know.
