We will be picking up corn tomorrow and delivering. As always watch for the post of times tomorrow. It all depends on the line and how far down the line we are in the morning. Yesterday the wait was 2-3 hours, but sometimes we wait longer. We will stick with the $5 a bag delivery fee. So $20 (corn cost) + $5 (delivery)= $25 a bag. I will take orders until tomorrow morning when we pick up. We will not be making a second trip this year.
This is a small family farm in McLoud. It has always had amazing corn. Some years are better than others. They have stated this year is a little smaller and has a few worms because of the rain and colder temps. For those of you who have been getting corn since we started this you know it a great thing they didn’t have to replant with a different variety! So, this is the same sweet corn we typically get.

🌱 IMPORTANT NOTE: We feel very lucky to even have a crop this year! It’s been anything but a typical Oklahoma growing season — cooler-than-usual spring temps and nearly non-stop rain these past couple of months. Thankfully, some good ol’ Oklahoma heat and humidity finally showed up just in time to help the corn mature. We’re so grateful to have sweet corn ready to harvest!
👉 This year’s ears are running a little smaller than usual — but trust us, they’re just as sweet and delicious. And as happens in farm life, we’ve noticed a few worms have helped themselves to the tops of some ears. It’s purely cosmetic and a quick trim takes care of it. We just want to give you a heads-up and thank you in advance for your understanding!
🌽 We pick fresh corn almost hourly throughout the day — and we’ll be open for a few days… until it’s gone. There’s no way to predict exactly how long we’ll have corn, since it all depends on daily demand.
⏳ If you arrive and the line isn’t moving, please know there’s a reason. We might be waiting on the next fresh pick, servicing equipment, or managing logistics behind the scenes. We promise we’re not just sitting around — this is HARD, HOT work, and our team (mostly high schoolers!) gives it everything they’ve got.
🚗 Driving out late in the day? Please call us first to make sure we’re still open. We do cut the line off once we’ve reached capacity for the day, and we hate having to turn people away after a long drive. There's no set cutoff time — it’s entirely based on how the day’s line shapes up.
✨ This year marks our 50th season of selling sweet corn! Our family tradition began in 1976, and we’re honored to still be here all these years later — growing, harvesting, and sharing the sweetest corn with generations of loyal customers. From our family to yours, thank you for being a part of this journey!!!
💛 Thank you for your patience, your kindness, and for making Nowakowski Sweet Corn a true Oklahoma summer tradition. We can’t wait to see you at the barn!
