To my cherished costumers, friends, and drumming acquaintances;
Unfortunately, this post is long overdue, and I feel as though I owe some of you something of an explanation.
Beginning in 2016, I began going through some pretty severe mental instabilities with regard to depression and anxiety. I simply could not get out of my own way, and my working life, personal life, and everything in between suffered for it. I retreated into myself, ignoring responsibilities at work and at home. I began looking for professional help, but some of the people closest to me were seemingly unwilling to help to the extent I really needed; (from what I perceived at the time) they were under the assumption that once I started a regiment of antidepressants, I should've just been cured. Of course, depression doesn't work like that. After roughly a year, I sought to remove myself from the situation altogether, and as some of you already know, I moved myself to maryland, and have been in maryland since.
With all that being said, I want to, and would love to continue working in the wonderful world of drumming, but as of the writing of this post, I simply don't have the shop space or tooling to do so. Hopefully at some point in the not-so-distant future, I'll be able to work all that out and begin working on drums again; but its just not a viable option currently.
I'd like to thank all of those who allowed me the opportunity to work on your beloved instruments. Without all of you, BackBone would have remained to be just an idea, and I sincerely hope to have the chance to resurrect it in the future.
Thank you all,
Steve Hulse
