It is with great sadness that we share the news that Derrick Moorman has passed away.
He was always a friendly face to see working alongside his family at BeauVerre Riordan Studios. He will be truly missed by many of us downtown. Please send prayers and love to his family during this difficult time.

The awards from Thunderfest are a special item. This year we tried to make them unique as many car show goers often get similar looking awards. But also like always, we try using our local businesses. This year a special thanks to Midd Town Cabinet for making the award and Monarch Designs for making the name plates.

Thunderfest 2026.... What a Day!

Over 200 cars filled Downtown Middletown for an incredible day of horsepower, community, and fun! From the amazing cars and the people who brought them, to the businesses, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and everyone who came out to enjoy the day, truly would not be what it is without YOU.

Still trying to process just how AMAZING Thunderfest was today!! Over 200 cars filled downtown this year, and I am still sitting here going through all of the photos, reliving every moment and smiling at all the incredible memories made. I am working on putting together an album that will be posted tomorrow from this event!
To everyone who brought a car, came downtown, supported our businesses, volunteered, sponsored, helped behind the scenes, or simply showed up to enjoy the day... THANK YOU!
Thunderfest truly is a community event, and it would not be possible without all of you. Seeing downtown come alive with so many people, amazing cars, laughter, and community pride is exactly why we do what we do. We are so incredibly grateful for everyone who made this year one to remember! 🏁

Thank you to Triple Moon Coffee Company for being such an incredible supporter of our downtown community and for sponsoring this year’s Thunderfest Car Show! ❤️ Their sponsorship is helping bring our Art Tent to life, giving kids a place to get creative and have some fun during the event. The tent will be where kids can enjoy coloring sheets, and the first 30 kiddos will even get their very own derby car to paint and build! 🏎️🎨
