Whistle Stop Shop just got her original "Gift Shop" flood lighted banner sign back in place after last week's high winds ripped it off the straps - blessed no one/nothing injured! It was rehung this morning, courtesy of "Signs by Keith," with Rex Combs taking care of the more secure reinstallation! A great recommendation on quality & speedy service from Downtown Middletown, Inc.!

Whistle Stop Shop so appreciates all the company and enthusiastic participation enjoyed at last weekend's annual Women's Wine & Chocolate Walk by attendees here! We hope to see lots of the participants come back to shop and visit, especially with our future events - the next being "First Friday" June 5th from 5 - 8!
Today's Sweet Treat to sample are our popular "Peanut Butter Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies," freshly made last evening by Joni.
We decided to leave our awesome "Sawhorse Horse" and backdrop up for anyone who didn't get a chance to take a photo with friends on our trusty steed! We are also extending our drive to support "Tender Mercies" donation box - with a canned or boxed good, you can select an ornament from our tree and fill out a ticket for a drawing for a beautiful donated handmade afghan!
Open to ideas to incorporate on a Carribean theme for our next First Friday!

Whistle Stop Shop family & friends would like to thank Downtown Middletown, Inc., fellowship business members and a new record number of customers for an outstanding time at this year's Women's Wine and Chocolate Walk!
Some cooperation from the weather and lots of transportation support was definitely a bonus!
We heard many times on Saturday from folks that they would "have to come back again to shop as there was a lot to see!"
The Sawhorse Horse our "Cowgirls team" constructed with step up boost and a lasso was a big hit, with some especially fun photos! The "Cowboys team" framed up an extra photo spot on the porch for anyone waiting to come in or board transportation.
We hope attendees will look us up in the Walk's Coupon Book before your next visit!
We also appreciated the positive feedback on the annually requested "Homemade Vanilla Raspberry Sheet Cake Bites," with more than 200 plates served!

Whistle Stop Shop is excited to be putting the final details in place for tomorrow's DMI Women's Wine & Chocolate Walk from noon to 6 pm tomorrow!
Donnie is sharing his best Paul Revere impression, as he is enjoying riding on the cowgirls' team construction of a fun & rock sturdy sawhorse horse! "Hear Ye, Hear Ye," Hop on in for a great photo with, on, or lassoing our favorite ride!
Be sure to bring a canned or boxed good to help us refill the Tender Mercies Blessing Box - fill out a ticket to get a free wooden Cowgirl ornament (while supplies last) and be in a drawing for a beautiful handmade Afghan donated for us!
We also have four freshly made popular "Vanilla Raspberry Sheet Cake Bites," to share, a crowd favorite! With four photo areas setup to choose from, be sure you capture and share the fun!

Whistle Stop Shop, in the Historical Big Four Train Depot at 25 Charles Street, is wrapping up preparations to welcome everyone for the annual Downtown Middletown Inc "Women's Wine and Chocolate Walk" event this Saturday from 12 to 6 pm, though we will open at 10 for regular business.
We are blessed to be one of the "Wine Tasting Stops," again this year, with four unique photo opportunities, music, shopping, the popular homemade Vanilla Raspberry Sheet Cake bites (while they last) and plenty of fun and fellowship!
We are hoping to assist "Tender Mercies Blessings Box" on Oxford State Road, to rebuild their inventory with a canned food or box goods donation. With a ticket for any contribution, you can select a wooden "Cowgirl ornament" as a souvenir of this event, while supplies last, and be entered in a drawing for a lovely donated handmade afghan!
The Whistle Stop Shop family of crafters looks forward to having a great crowd turnout again this year! We're right up by the tracks and worth the walk/ride! Hope to see you Saturday for a fun adventure!

Whistle Stop Shop is transitioning from last evening's "First Friday" activities to preparing for the upcoming popular "Women's Wine & Chocolate Walk, " May 16th from noon to 6 pm, just two weeks from today! Yes, plans here do call for the much requested freshly homemade "Vanilla Raspberry Sheet Cake bites"! We will also emphasize our photo spots opportunities and hopefully a surprise bonus activity, as well as shopping!
We are grateful to be welcoming a new crafter, with heartwarming collectible "Old Time Treasures," in addition to sewn glasses cases and mini gift bags!
Just updated the collection of colors of the unique "Roller Skate Baby Booties," in traditional colors of pink & blue, as well as light yellow, light green, and sports' team colors of red & white plus orange & black! Perfect for baby shower decor as well as gifts!
