🪴 Kim’s Mystery Challenge “Welcome to the Garden” has begun! Each sealed brown box contains eight fat quarters curated by Kim Lapacek of PersimonDreams. The boxes contain an eclectic mix of prints, but one fabric is the same in every single box.

🌿 The challenge theme is “Welcome to the Garden”—interpret this however you would like!

Challenge Guidelines:
📦 Use all eight fat quarters in a noticeable amount in your quilt.
🧵 You may add up to TWO other fabrics (any quantity) to the front.
✂️ The back and binding are the maker's choice. Whatever makes you happy!
📏 There is no size limitation, but the project must be quilted (sandwiching batting/wadding/interfacing, and stitched through).
📸 Submit your challenge quilt photo(s), email, phone number, and IG handle to [email protected] by September 30, 2026.

There will be three randomly drawn prizes awarded to three lucky participants!

Our Hallway Gallery is filled with red, white, and blue for the month of June! The Mad City Quilt Guild is showcasing a beautiful collection of patriotic community service quilts, handcrafted by their talented members.

In honor of America's 250th Anniversary, the guild is also raffling off a stunning patriotic quilt. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit the gallery in person, admire the incredible workmanship of these community quilts, and support a great cause. Proceeds from the raffle directly support the guild's community quilt donations.

Raffle tickets are $5.00 each and can be purchased from any guild member, or right here at Blue Bar Quilts, The Electric Needle, and Sew Much More.

The exhibition will be on display through June 2026.

If you’ve been looking to add a furry feline friend to your family, this is the perfect opportunity. There will be fee-waived adoptions for dozens of indoor cats and kittens, plus a ton of fun activities for everyone! 🐈‍⬛

Do you have a tricky project sitting on your sewing table? Whether you are a local maker looking to tackle your first garment or you just need some hands-on help with a zipper, join Christine for a Sewcial Open Studio!

This guided open studio offers a flexible, supportive environment to work on a project of your choosing with expert help right by your side. If you need pattern suggestions, Christine is even happy to chat with you ahead of time!

What you can bring to the (sewing) table:
👗 Tackle that intimidating garment pattern you have been eyeing
💻 Finally figure out how to piece together tricky PDF patterns
👝 Get hands-on help with bags, zippers, or foundation paper piecing (FPP)
