The idea for Kiwi Lane started while we found ourselves complaining to each other that most of the samples that we found in magazines and online from "designers" were for one-picture, one-page layouts and depended heavily on expensive embellishments and a long supplies list to accomplish their look. Although the pages were beautiful, recreating them was hard on our budget, and we preferred the option to design two-page layouts so that we could fit more photos and tell a complete story with each page we created. This frustration led us to develop a new style of scrapbooking that provided endless inspiration and simplified the process. It changed how we scrapbooked, allowing us to add as many pictures as we wanted and still end up with a beautiful, balanced, professional layout every time. Because this method takes advantage of the gorgeous prints and patterns in our paper stashes, we could also create stunning pages without spending a small fortune on traditional embellishments. As scrapbookers ourselves, this new technique solved all of our concerns, and we fell in love with scrapbooking all over again! ⏰✂️ Let’s talk about TIME!

One of the biggest struggles we hear from scrapbookers isn’t a lack of creativity or inspiration. It’s finding the time to actually sit down and create!

And when you finally do find that precious hour or two, the last thing you want is to spend it feeling overwhelmed, digging through supplies, or trying to figure out where to start.

Here’s something we’ve learned: Making the most of your creative time isn’t necessarily about working faster. It’s about making it easier to get started.💛

Maybe that means organizing your supplies so they’re ready when you are, keeping a few photos and papers picked out ahead of time, or using a simple design process that takes away some of the guesswork (Enter Kiwi Lane templates 😉).

And remember, you don’t have to finish an entire layout for your creative time to be well spent. Sometimes just sitting down, playing with ideas, and enjoying the process is exactly what you need. ✨

Did you know those little notches on the side of your Kiwi Lane Border Templates are there for a reason? 👀✂️

They make it easy to adjust the length of your border depending on your layout—so you can create a 7-inch border or go all the way across with a full 12-inch border.

It’s one small detail that gives you a lot more flexibility when you’re designing your page. Instead of being locked into one size, you can customize the border to fit exactly where you need it.
