When we first opened last year, one of the many questions we got was "When do your book clubs start?" The response over the last year at all of our book clubs has been wonderful -- it's been a steadfast reminder of our amazing community and the love of reading Middleburg has.

For 2025, things will look a little different! Don't fret, Supper Club is here to stay. We felt it was time to revamp our other book clubs -- to zoom in further on specific genres and bring new readers through our doors. We hope you'll find a home in one of these clubs and enjoy reading these titles as much as we do!

Introducing:
Frontlist Fiction 📚
- A continuation of our current Fiction Book Club with more focus on new releases.
Led by Mary Beth and Christina

Mystery Mondays 🔎
- A new mystery book club that will investigate the riddles and puzzles within this vast genre.
Led by Shayne

Beyond the Realm 🐉
- A new book club that will dive deep on fantasy novels sure to expand your horizons.
Led by Miriam

Poetry Book Club
- A continuation of our poetry club for three months before transitioning into a writers’ workshop.
Led by Haley

Write Outside the Box ✒️
- A new writers’ workshop focused on reading poetry, short fiction, and novellas that will strengthen your writing skills. This club will begin in spring of 2025, and transition from our regular poetry club.

As we close up shop on the eve before Thanksgiving, we’d be remiss to not express our immense gratitude for the community around Middleburg Books.

We are so incredibly grateful for all we have been able to accomplish within our first year, and it could not have been done without all of you.

We've got lots of exciting events coming in September! Our first event is with beloved local author Ellen Crosby Books. Don't miss it!

When she asked us to be the booksellers at an event, we obviously said yes! Join us at Rappahannock Cellars on September 7th at 1:30pm for a talk and signing. Crosby will be in conversation with winemaker, Rick Tagg.

Our Supper Club is the highlight of our month! We've had such a fabulous time swapping dishes and stories with everyone this summer.

Our August club is next week, which means the tickets will go live the following Thursday! If you want to be put on the email list (which is separate from our newsletter), sign up through the link in our bio (third link down). Looking for a great family activity this summer?

Waldo is in Middleburg!! Middleburg Books is hosting Find Waldo Local, an exciting month-long scavenger hunt to find Waldo in 21 local businesses. Stop by Middleburg Books to pick up your scavenger hunt card before July 31st!

Throughout the month there will be prizes awarded to the players, and on Saturday morning, August 3rd at 10:30am there’ll be a big Waldo party at our shop in partnership with PLAYroom and Town of Middleburg. We can't wait to see you there!
