🍃💧🌍🌳🌻After months of relocating and adapting to our new home and environment of Pura Vida, RiverRoots Organic Co. has officially launched with its first Central American sales at the Brown Girl Yoga Tribe Sanctuary’s Self-Love Retreat in Costa Rica. To move to a new country, without knowing the language, land or culture is one thing but having the courage and brilliance to navigate new resources for your small business product and brand is another. Your innovation, diligence, and resilience is visionary and I’m honored to celebrate this proud moment of the globalization of RiverRoots as it continues its efforts to spread healing, love, empowerment, and self-care to bodies, hearts and spirits everywhere. I still remember YOU…
As much as I try to forget, your memory never drifts too far
I remember every word, every touch, every smile…*smirk*
& every once in a while I recall,
The taste of your lips and those almond eyes that drove me wild…
I remember YOU…
As much as I know I should not,
Especially since you rather not remember me…I imagine you simply forgot
Yet…
I remember,
…the way your cocoa skin glistened in the candle light
Mesmerized in your natural curves
Entranced in your sweet scent
Captivated by your warmth,
How can one forget…
& As much as I try to dismiss the thought of your liquid kiss
Those late night, early morning showers I cant help but miss
Still those memories crawl deep into my dreams
& travel within my fantasies more often than ever, it seems
And so I wonder if you still think of me in the same,
or if I even picturesquely exist in your mindframe

WE all make SACRIFICES everyday...
Sacrifices for our loved ones...our children, our friends and even for ourselves.
It seems that no matter what, who or where we come from, in some way we all share that innate ability to want & need more than JUST for ourselves. Even the most selfish and egotistical of us STILL in a sense do what we do for someone or something other than our own approval,judgment or acceptance. The simple truth is that WE all need each other.

Its undeniable that We ONLY grow, learn and ultimately succeed through our interactions, understandings and experiences with OTHER people; therefore every day that we overcome or "push through" or make the effort to "go on" is in BELIEF of a greater outcome if not for us, at least for the people we love. Anyone whose ever claimed to have made it solely on their own with no guidance, no direction or support is disillusioned because WE ALL had help at some point in some way during the darker, hopeless and weaker points our lives.

Yet, it is our undying FAITH, our HOPE and most importantly our LOVE that gets us through despite what part of the world we live in, or what cultures or customs we practice. Essentially, our religion, politics or ethnicities don't unite our struggle but OUR HUMANITY does. So every moment that you put in that extra OT at work for that special someone's birthday or loan that rainy day stash to a family member or even miss sleep or take off a day you cant afford just to spend time with a close friend, REMEMBER its not in vain for WE ALL sacrifice, we all make do and we all go without at some point--because that's what life and love is about--not the materials or the possessions, not even the knowledge or the success but ultimately its how we changed, impacted and built upon the lives of not our own but of OTHERS.

Closure (LOVE RIP)
Its amazing what you see once you finally open blind eyes.
Closure is a powerful thing in death, in separation and any demise.
Pain & loss remind us to truly appreciate growth,joy& to stay wise.
Yet I could spit about some sentimental, subliminal heartache s**t but what would be the point if there's nothing left to say.
A Wise woman once said never ask for permission only forgiveness
so I guess I'll get on my knees & persist to confess today:
Dear Love,
Forgive me for my foolish pride
Forgive me for never telling lies
Forgive me for always staying by your side
even when my conscience told me to run and hide
Forgive me for never going back on my word
For sacrificing my time, energy and heart to put you first
Forgive me for being human. For crying water, for bleeding red.
For If I cut this poem any closer, any deeper, it'll be shot, overdosed, buried & dead.
No you didn't ask for any of this, for any of me,
So no I don't expect for any guilt or any accountability...
But remember it takes two to make a love story complete
& even in an unrequited tango someone has to follow and the other take the lead.
All we ever hope for in life is to be loved, succeed & be FREE...
So to lovers who doubt, hesitate and fear what they used to BELIEVE:
Invest in her smile and if she commits to your heart than build deep from there & that "forevermore", you both will seek & keep.
