A quiet man. That’s how he’s known in the neighborhood.
Retired. Keeps to himself. Mows his lawn on Tuesdays. Waves at the neighbors. Is friends with the mailman.
But something isn’t right at that house.
Lately, the garage light stays on until 3 a.m.
And if you’re brave enough to get closer, you can hear strange noises. The scraping. The sawing. The occasional muttering about ribs, planking, and deadeyes.
Doris from across the street saw him through the window, hunched over a workbench, holding what appeared to be a scalpel.
His wife stopped asking questions years ago. All she knows is that he’s stitching something together from parts belonging to at least six different donors.
And starting today. There will be more boxes. Small ones. Large ones. Long, narrow boxes containing things nobody on the street can identify.
Model Expo’s Light in the Garage Sale begins.
Over 130 specimens, up to 92% off.
Some of these prices are genuinely frightening (mostly to our accountant).
Wooden kits. Plastic kits. Tools, fittings, and materials. Everything a mad scient…modeler craves.
ENTER THE LABORATORY
So go ahead. Pick your specimens. Keep the garage light on several nights in a row. Let Doris talk.
And don’t worry about all the boxes piling up on your porch.
The neighborhood kids won’t dare come near it. They won’t even touch your mailbox.
At Sunday, November 1, at midnight ET, the lab closes.
The light stays on…
