Happy Saturday!
It’s been nice working from home and playing house.
I discovered that I’m not really a minimalist anymore. I love being around lots of people beautiful things. For a while I didn’t want much for a variety of reasons. Now I welcome it all only whatever it is has to be truly special to come through the door. Hope your enjoying your piece of paradise too 🌸

Hi my friends how are you doing this fine Monday? I come with a bit of news, not good not bad.
A wee bit sad?
I’ve come to terms with it personally but it took the weekend to really get my head around it. As you may know I rented the store in September last year and put my heart and soul into it. By October they were putting up scaffolding for a year of renovation on the building that they failed to mention when I signed the lease. I tried to make the best of it by decorating the scaffold, turning up the music to drown out the noise and try to go at off hours. Unfortunately it looks like it’s going to be another year at the minimum. I’ve made the decision to close the shop and move online. It’s what I was doing prior to the store but after 2020 I just wanted to get out into the world, enjoy the community and get back to my roots with a boutique where it was fun to work and create. However it has become completely unbearable with the jackhammering and incessant pounding. I’m gonna look at it as a year of a pop up shop. A place that gave my entrepreneurial spirit a lift and shifted toward a new perspective. I’m not gonna look at it like a failure, I’m going to turn it into a stepping stone and a positive.
I’ll be free to travel again, run my shopping trips to Paris and Palm Beach, spend precious time with my mom, help her renovate the house, and just enjoy a new freedom that I didn’t appreciate having before. I love you guys and I really thank you for being with me through this entire journey. This is not the end, it’s a new beginning! I’m excited to see what comes next. Maison Beach will continue just like The Paris Apartment and like everything in life we will roll with the changes the universe suggests. Have a wonderful week and thank you for your support. You’re amazing friends and I cherish you! šŸŒžā¤ļøšŸ™šŸ»

in the . Remember that book, ā€œMove Your Stuff, Change Your Lifeā€? We see old things in a new way when we rearrange. Well there’s been a lot of movement at MMB and it’s brought good change. Nothing major but just an energy shift.
Anyhow, little by little I’m unpacking an armoire that’s not been moved at all but has great energy! In fact it’s bursting from the seams with beautiful , , and . It’s a consigned line by a friend of mine called
Since I’d been going up to my parents over the winter I didn’t get a chance to check it all out. Now the vault is open and it’s one item prettier than the last. The pillow and throw with the palm leaf are the boldest, the rest is a very subtle palette of ivory, periwinkle, sand and taupe. They’re soft as clouds and can be washed a thousand times and only get better.
Et alors, this gal is gonna stop moving and as an old friend used to say, ā€œDon’t just do something, stand there!ā€
Enough movement for today. Good night!!šŸ’«

Happy Friday friends! I hope your is already off to a good start. It’s been a busy week but I had some play time hanging and moss outside the shop to offset the scaffolding. Come on in!

Hey friends how’s life? I’ve been away for a month with my folks and happy to be back to work. Did I just say that? Well they say when you love what you do it’s not really work, right? But technically is work (confirmed by dirty hands polishing silver, using touch up paint and washing the windows) but I still love doing it. In fact I think work gets a bad rap. It’s kind of fun when ya get into it. There’s a satisfaction that comes after a productive day, no?
Either way it’s time to make the doughnuts. Have a fantastic day whatever you’re up to!

Hi friends how’s your week going? It’s getting late and seems like I don’t have time to play on social media much lately. Anyway I came across this pretty shot in the first 2 minutes and was compelled to repost it from . The beautiful palette and the grouping of the collection were interesting but it was the realization of what they represented that got me. Each corset belonged to a beautiful woman (aren’t they all?) and could undoubtedly tell incredible stories of the adventures of everyday life a century ago. I sometimes daydream about our great and great great grandmothers, how tough they were and yet were still able to maintain such style and grace. Hard to imagine with no heat, no electricity and no running or flushing water, that still, even their undergarments were exquisite. In this photo we see that someone saw their worth, saved them, protected and collected them. They knew they were not disposable clothing and should be treasured and preserved. When I think about how much clothing I’ve gone through, tossed and donated, it’s mind blowing. These pretty pieces of history tell us so much about who they were, and for those who enjoy them today, about who we are. Sweet dreams🌸

Hey guys happy Monday. I hope you’re doing well tonight and winding down. Just wanted to share a piece I was really charmed with and who revived my playful spirit. I guess we can get so caught up in the world we forget how much fun it is just to be silly. It was a nice diversion on a crazy day anyway. Meet Glorious, the Grecian Goddess bust turned urn. I found her through a local gal and thought how much fun it would be to carry her in the shop. She can be painted any color and sheen. I tried a few looks on her and think she can pretty much rock anything. Her stone cold beauty and confidence doesn’t hurt! What do you think is her best look? I kind of like the and bet it will be even better when it grows in. Anyway I didn’t make it to West Palm today due to a mechanical malfunction but we’re getting on the road bright and early tomorrow morning. Till then have a great night!
PS if you want more info on the check out my shop, link in bio xo
