Coming back from town about 6:30 this pm I found these 2 just off FM 1365 at FCR 901. The female (black one) was trying to get some foood from a dead hog. I came home, got some dog food and my daughter in law and we went back for them. No collars, very hungry. I did not see them on my way to town about an hour earlier. We loaded them in the truck…had to literally pick them up and put them in the truck. NO afression from them at all. When we got home, pretty much the same thing. We gave them dry food before we loaded them up and they scarfed it down. When we got in the house they lapped my dogs water as if they were VERY thirsty. Gave them some more food with some leftovers mixed in. As my OLD dog was eating they wanted to get to her food, but I held them back for a bit and they stopped trying. She is still eating and they are lying within 5 feet of her.
Both dogs are very sweet and enjoy being petted. The male seems to be a young dog and the female has had puppies, but definitely weined. Not sure about age. Probably never will know their story, but if their owners surface, and they are truly just lost, they can be returned. If you dumped them, SHAME on you!
