Dearest Metuchen, โก๐ฎโค
Last night at 9:10pm we set the last alarm and closed our beautiful store, the 2nd store to be exact after 45 plus gorgeous years that we know will leave a legacy beyond its measures. It was not easy. There were tears, laughter, anxiousness, you name it, it was there. Although, knowing we have had the love and support of our wonderful customers takes a lot of pain away. We also had AMAZING workers throughout our time. I'd like to shout out Lorraine, Lydia, Jill, Pat and Carol for their help in closing the store. Thank you beyond the ends of this earth. There are really no words to thank you.
I'd also like to introduce myself-my name is Taylor and I have run the social media for the Brass for some time now. My grandmother is the proud owner of the Brass and I have been lucky and humbled to have grown up with this treasure for 31 years. Thank you for putting up with my crazy posts lol and being patient since I hadn't worked at the Brass in a few years and didn't know a lot of the pricing etc...haha. I am an elementary music teacher and opera singer and a lot of my artistry has come from the store.
Thank you Metuchen for loving us as well as surrounding communities. My grandmother, Lois Cataldo is sad, she is hurting but she knows it was time. We owe so much to her and her business that she cultivated into a magic realm throughout all of these years. ๐ซ
Love you all. As one says, it's never a true goodbye, we have the Brass Lantern lingering through our homes and any light we see breezing through the air.
Xoxo. Much love,
