The train to Friday has rolled into the station! T.G.I.F.! I want to share a build in the works from our friend Phil Blankenship. This is someone very passionate and dedicated to his work.
From Phil:
I am designing and engineering a WORKING SCALE MODEL of the famed, "DURANGO COALING STATION". It is being BUILT in progress, in PERIOD time, along with actual prints that I acquired throughout the years. This model is "O" 1 4/8 SCALE. It will be FULLY functional and recyclable to retrieve any waste material produced. Please see ATTACHED photos. This working prototype is still in progress. Believe me! Once I have completed this, I am NOT going to update or augment this design. I have already spent almost 2 years to this point with records to show and anyone else that wants to surpass my creation has "MY FULL ADMIRATION!". I hope you Have as much fun as I had. "TAKE PLENTY OF ASPIRIN!". Ha!!
I am moving on to other Architectural prints to re-design into "O" scale 1/48" FULL AUTOMATION,. I am NOT engineering and Building structures that you see in magazines. I am creating structures (IN FRAMEWORK) workings that shows the progress of folks that built the towns and cities during the "Recession Era" our ancestors (Family) built. Maybe our children will look upon this and reflect.....
This is being built VIA your engineering, wood accuracy, and supply. Good job folks! Keep it up....... Doc. Phil R&D.....

Happy Wednesday Folks! The photos below were rendered using a 3D modeling program called Blender by our bestie John Pandolfino. He is allowing us to see his newest creation before it's built. Stay tuned for actual build photos and the end reveal.

John wanted me to tell you all that the 3D modeling program Blender is completely free to download. Not just a free trial, but free forever! Happy Creating and Building!!

Did everyone enjoy the unseasonably warm day yesterday? The sign of good things to come!

I wanted to share these pictures with you from our friend Ron Gove. He built a replica of an old diner in Saugus, MA with our lumber. Sadly the diner no longer exists. In loving memory Heck Allen!

Patriot Blue, Epic Black, White, and Cool Grey. These are the newest addition to our shingles. We tried to also do burgundy but it was not available. Need your help with one more thing....do you like them plain (without colored printing) or do you think you would like to see some specks of white and grey on the darker colors and some pop of dark grey and black on the lighter colors?

Hello November Friends! I wanted to share this photo with you from Preston Sands. He is an N Scale builder for over 30 years and shared this with me this morning...

"Just wanted to say how much I love your fine modeling products. The attached photo is my model of the town of Hancock, Colorado, circa 1885, with all of the structures created from Northeastern Scale Models products (except the tank portion of the water tank)."

Thank you Preston for this beautiful build! I am still trying to wrap my head around this being in N Scale!

Hello Friends....summer is almost here! I have some new photos and back story for you today. Hope you enjoy! The story and photos are from our friend Glaser.

Photo #1 shows the replica of my fathers building that he worked at for over 40 years. It's in Philly. The 1/8" x 2" sheetwood that I bought from you are the tall and vertical 24" columns around the perimeter. Replica brick is glued onto the boards. Photo #2 and #3 show the real name of the Machine Shop and the names are there to honor my father and father in law since they both were machinist. Photo #4 shows the building as it stands today. Of course, it's no longer a machine shop. The black and white photo, believe it or not, was taken by my father around 1940. It shows the President of the company (Mr Fischer). When I found the photo, I just simply had to put a figure on the steps!

Thanks for your interest and your fabulous company.
