ANNOUNCEMENT...
I’m Running for Methuen City Councilor At-Large
After serving on the School Committee, I’ve come to a hard truth: real, meaningful change can’t happen from the School Committee table. At least, not in Methuen.
Methuen has made fiscally damaging choices … buying buildings we can’t afford to maintain, approving contracts we can’t pay for, and creating an increasingly hostile climate for local businesses. These decisions have strained our city’s finances and turned Methuen into a punchline.
.. And that’s before we even talk about the systematic neglect of our schools.
For too long, we’ve balanced budgets on the backs of children learning to read and families struggling to stay afloat. It seems like as taxpayers we are paying more every year for less.
We’ve pitted departments against each other instead of working toward real progress.
That ends now.
I’m running because Methuen deserves better. We deserve leadership that isn’t afraid to call out broken systems, pushes back on outdated thinking, challenges the “good ol’ boy” politics, and relentlessly advocates for the people.
Here’s what I believe:
✅ Budgets should be transparent — not just year-over-year % increases.
✅ Schools are infrastructure, not expenses.
✅ City employees deserve fair pay and a positive culture, not just handouts for tuning on the pressure.
✅ Councilors should do the homework, read the packet, and understand every vote.
Methuen’s motto is “Where History Meets Progress” and I’m sick of waiting for the progress.
Let’s make it happen!
Let’s make some noise this election.
