BSI Comics is the largest and oldest comic book store in the Greater New Orleans area. We carry over 1,700 Graphic Novels and over 100,000 vintage books.

BSI was first established in 1979 by Carl and Linda Tupper. The original business was selling used paperbacks; thus, “BSI” stands for Book Swap, Incorporated. Soon after opening, comics were outselling paperbacks and BSI Comics was born.

This Saturday, May the 2nd, is Free Comic Book Day at BSI Comics! We will have free comic books, weekend sales and special guests, including Robby Musso! Robby has designed Transformers toys and package art for Hasbro, as well as art for Transformers and Speed Racer comics for IDW. He is the creator of the upcoming sci-fi action comic Divine Circuits! Door open at 10AM!

This Saturday, May the 2nd, is Free Comic Book Day at BSI Comics! We will have free comic books, weekend sales and special guests, including Tedd Walley! Tedd has been a freelance artist since 1991 and is the longest, active comic book self-publisher in New Orleans since 2001, publishing Mathilda: The Forces of Evil vs. The 3rd Grade. He is also the founder of the longest, and largest, active group about indie comics on Facebook called Indie Comics! on Facebook.

He’s done artwork for TV (NCIS: New Orleans), movies (Supercon, Netflix's Point Blank, The Old Ballgame) T-shirt and CD artwork for bands (Blowfly and The Genitorturers), art posters (House of Blues for The Misfits, The Reverend Horton Heat, and The Endless Night Vampire Ball) and local conventions (New Orleans Science Fiction and Fantasy Festival, and Exoticon). He was the artist guest of honor for Biloxi’s Coast Con 46 and New Orlean’s ContraFlow X/Deep South Con 63.

He’s a two-time NISOD recognized Teaching In Excellence award winner in Graphic Design, Illustration, and Animation while teaching at Delgado Community College, New Orleans where he also teaches the only comic book illustration and publishing class in the New Orleans area.

Joe: Sssilent Missions - Firefly #1, releasing this week from Skybound and Image Comics! Anthony is a New Orleans native and creator of the Gods Hand Universe and the Justice City Chronicles! Doors open at 10 AM!

Vernon is a comic book and children's book artist currently illustrating Star Trek: Lower Decks for IDW Publishing. Previous works include Star Trek: Strange New Worlds (Issue #500), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Bigfoot Frankenstein, The Adventures Of Dexter Breakfast, and The Littlest Streetcar. He also likes chocolate!

Blake Petit is a writer, teacher, and dad from Ama, Louisiana. He is the author of the superhero novels OTHER PEOPLE'S HEROES and THE PYRITE WAR, the monster-movies-on-paper THE BEGINNER and OPENING NIGHT OF THE DEAD, and the incredibly inaccurately-titled book EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO SURVIVE ENGLISH CLASS. Blake's newest release is LITTLE STARS BOOK ONE: TWINKLE, TWINKLE! He lives in Ama with his wife Erin and their son.
