After most Krewes have collected the dues for the year, wow. MG Krewes are Non Profits and only collect enough to cover their yearly cost. If there is any left over, most donate to charity or goes back into the float for a better Free show to the public. They are not making money. Only the city is by the Taxes they collect.

New Orleans Mayor Helena Moreno is proposing an $850-per-float fee for Mardi Gras krewes, to help cover the city's cost of sanitation, public safety, and other parade season-related expenses. | WWL
