The hobby lost a legend.

John Blanche's imagination, vision, and artwork helped define not only worlds and characters, but the very look and feel of tabletop wargaming as we know it. His influence can be found in the work of countless artists, sculptors, writers, game designers, painters, and hobbyists across generations.

There is a duality in John's work. He gave form to darkness, yet inspired creativity, wonder, and brought happiness to countless hobbyists, gamers, and painters. Through his art, the grim became beautiful, the dystopian became unforgettable, and entire worlds came alive in our hearts and minds.

We are deeply grateful to have known John, worked alongside him, and called him our friend.

His story does not end here.

Rest well, John. Your legacy and influence lives on in every brushstroke.
