Before, during and after. This little gem was my friends children’s rocking horse and she wanted a little overhaul for her grandchildren. She now has two sweet granddaughters so I gave them a little feminine nip and tuck:-) A lot of stripping and sanding to get to the bare wood . The quality of old toys really do stand the rest of time and I hope the new babies will make fond memories with this horse 🐴

This Christmas brought out the creativity in the hubs! My grandson loved the truck and wished he could really drive it! The tires were made out of homedepot buckets:-)
He made these enormous nutcrackers out of leftover pieces in the workshop. They come apart for easy storage and the Santa Mailbox received letters. Such a festive time of year to be creative.

It has almost been a year since I have been in the workshop. Sold our house, nursing a back injury and finding a new normal in our new home. This sign is the first in a long time and not a coincidence that it states THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD. He is. He has been. When I made this clipboard sign for a client I had no idea what 2020 would hold. I certainly have learned to plan less and be more flexible for what God has planned for me. I have learned to dream more about what I want this next stage in life to look like as we are almost empty nesters. My bucket list for this year is missing a few check marks but a wise friend shared with me today, “You just need to move back your deadline.” Good point. This 2020 year got some ‘splaining to do😳but making plans for a big 2021🎉

Do you know how your grandmothers furniture was a bit smaller and more fragile than today’s furniture? That was this case with this bed from a dear client. The lines are solid and the details are quaint and now she has a bench that will last for years to come. I did not get pictures of the bed before but loved how the bench turned out. Now that graduation is over I can finally post this sign. Have you heard this song? It was a special gift to a clients niece and I kept listening to it while painting. The words are rich and the sentiment is precious. It was a huge sign and the pictures do not do it justice. Give yourself time to listen to FIND YOUR WINGS by Mark Harris, it is the perfect song to pray your graduate into the next season! Grateful for opportunities that let me use creativity 💕💕

It is always a privilege to be asked for an order that is special to a client for personal reasons. These two signs have been a blessing for me as I made them. The scripture represented has been a lifeline and soul quenching gift for my client. The size was large but the meaning even bigger.
