June
Today I am with my annual sewing group at our retreat in Tempe AZ. There is all kinds of laughter and we are pampered buy the hotel staff with great food. Lots of sewing has happened. Photo's to follow. Many projects and UFO finished. My friend accomplished her 2 goals, 1 to sew at least a 6 inch strip and complete a small sewing task. She made a potholder and met her goal. I didn't know she really could sew. She has for years brought piles of mending to fix for her family. So many faces we haven't seen for this past year. It is almost healing like to be able to be in our group and get to visit and laugh together.

I was able to take a short trip to El Passo and visit G &GG grand children and my daughter. It was great.
Vivianna is such a cutie. I as the great gramma was the only one who could help her burp and she could pass gas easily with my bounce method. I am a pro at both of course since we both have the same problem.

Memorial Day is coming up.
One of the best way to remember those who have served and are now in a VA home is to make a Quilt of Valor. A few years ago I was up in Prescott and was able to be at an event where vets were honored in this way. It was a very moving experience to be able to see where a quilt I made ended up. The Veteran was so appreciative of the quilt. Several around 27 quilts were presented that day. What a wonderful experience for all who were there. Any time is a good time to make and give a Quilt of Valor. Remember those who served our country in past wars and who are still serving toda

I am starting a new business. I will be making bed runners and other small decorative items for sale here. I am looking forward to beginning a new adventure in my senior years after retiring as a teacher.
My little quilt shop should be ready to open by August and in the mean time I'll be traveling in my "Quilt-n-Hilton". I hope you enjoy my travels and sewing / quilting tips and tricks in the mean time.
