Since the 3rd Edition of Scale & Rhythm Chunks was released this past fall, I've revamped the Chunks website and Chunks YouTube channel. The website includes links to instructional videos for each instrument book (thanks to all the amazing musicians that contributed who are tagged in this post), as well as great educational resources from Curtis Winters and Stepwise Publications.

In the 3rd Edition of the Chunks program, I'm so thrilled to have collaborated with Patrick Sheridan to create instructional videos showing how to use the Breathing Gym® within the Chunks program.

Meet TROMBONE Scale & Rhythm Chunks artist Chad Arnow, from sunny St. Petersburg, FL! He has been playing trombone for 35 years, and he also plays alto and bass trombone, plus euphonium and tuba. He’s currently the Associate Professor of Trombone and Brass Area Coordinator at the University of Dayton (Go Flyers!). He’s also a member of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, the Carillon Brass, and the Elysian Trombone Consort. A fun fact about him is that he wrote software for a while after college.

Our next Scale and Rhythm Chunks educator is Zack Stump, from Cincinnati, OH! He has been playing clarinet for 20 years, and he also plays bass clarinet, Eb clarinet and guitar. He is currently a law student at Arizona State University. A fun fact about him is that he has climbed a volcano!

Introducing our next Scale and Rhythm Chunks educator, Bonnie Farr, from Knoxville, Tennessee! She has been playing oboe for almost 20 years, and she also plays english horn, flute and alto saxophone. She travels a lot playing in different symphony orchestras every week, and she teaches private lessons at several high schools and universities. For her side hustle she also teaches yoga, which is a great way to balance the stressful musician’s lifestyle. A fun fact about her is that she likes to think she is one of the world’s leading experts on The Beatles! She’s been a fan since she was 4 years old, and she’s seen Paul McCartney in concert five times.
