Oh Happy Day! Finished my version of the Unity quilt. This was a sew along from Primitive Gatherings that we started in 2025, glad to have the top done. I did it a little different than the pattern. Put the squares on point, and used a solid French General fabric for the sashing and setting triangles which allows you to see the defined squares and focus on all the pretty fabrics which was done with a fabric exchange with friends.

The baby ones were so cute, the one in the center just got sheared, I think it needs a sweater!!

I was able to see sheep shearing today at a local farm. They get sheared once a year, they remove it all in one piece and it only took a few minutes.

This afternoon’s project was sewing and cutting apart 200 one inch half square triangles, now to iron and cut off the dog ears.

2 1/2 days into retreat and all I’ve accomplished is half of my Unity quilt. Now onto something else because I need a break from it. Must add that we also did some retail therapy and lots of snacking! Last night was a Bridgerton watch party while we hand stitched, good times!
