We managed a nice batch of panfish yesterday. Thanks Steve and Scott for a fun week of fishing. We started out last Saturday on Mille Lacs at the Fishing for Ducks tournament with -37 below wind chills, a great trip to Red Lake Nation for trout with Daris Rosebear and fished rest of time for northern and panfish here in the Brainerd lakes area. It was a very cold week until yesterday. We earned our fish by sticking it out and being versatile.

Just finished my breakfast of fresh rainbow trout and toast. It was fantastic pan fried using some Mr. Walleye batter. A few pics of some beautiful Rainbows from todays fishing trip with Steve Valade and his nephew Scott to Red Lake Reservation back country. Trout fishing with Darris Rosebear, (Rosebear Guide Service), was very fun with fish from 18 to 22 inches on a very blustery day on the ice. Life is good. Thanks Daris for a great morning
