What is on your vintage Christmas list? What are you collecting?
My list includes Ceramic trees, Ceramic tree napkin holders, retro packaging like ornament hooks, garlands, tinsels...
Always on the list- Santa mugs, shiny brites and other old ornaments, Gurley and Tavern candles.
I'd like to find some genuine sleigh bells sometime but those are getting pricey and hard to find.

I've thought about not decorating this year. It just sounds like so much when there is so much else to be done. This picture is from last year.

I am much like the story 'If you give a mouse a cookie. ' Once I start it will lead to the next room, the next space, until I have hours invested.

Not my typical post!! It’s not pretty but this is about half of the product I’m bringing to Dent Christmas Market tomorrow.

Inside these totes are my day dreams, inspirations and constant ideas crafted into something that hopefully others can enjoy. Speaking for all makers, we do it at first because we love a craft or have a yearning to create. Then we ask ourselves why leading up to shows and wonder why we sacrificed loads of money, space, and most importantly hours of time that we could of had with family, or to ourselves. Maybe clean the house?

I think the negativity comes when we’re tired and scrambling to make those last minute items that we just don’t even know if we even like?!

The answer came to me thinking back on a last minute show I did this fall. I didn’t have any planning time or expectations really. I just showed up and brought what I could. I met a friend unexpectedly that I hadn’t seen in months and didn’t know how to reach her. She said she didn’t know why she turned in to stop but then realized why when I greeted her with a hug. This is why I came.

Then I was approached by an old neighbor who told me about her now adult daughter that still mentions the difference I made in her young life? What?? I have know memory of this!! This is why I came.

Anyway, this is getting long, but I was given the constant stream of ideas and the ambition to create for more than the wares I pack in these totes and schelp around. God has a plan and all of us make a difference NOW and even THEN.

Please, know as a maker, a buyer, a looker, or a sharer- YOU do make an impact more than you could know.
