On Thursday October 28, 2021 the University of Memphis unveiled the historic statue of Memphis Basketball Icon, Melrose and Orange Mound's Larry Finch. Linda Harris Candidate for Shelby County District Attorney grew up in the Civil rights era and the time when then Memphis State was recruiting African/American players.

Larry Finch from Melrose was the paradigm and model of an outstanding player and representative of the African American Community. Linda Harris attended then Memphis State University and Larry Finch help to pave the way for better opportunities for African/Americans in Memphis and at the now University of Memphis.

Linda Harris believes that it is important for all Shelby County citizens honors Larry Finch. Linda Harris attended the event because she wants to make a better Memphis and she has the highest respect for Larry Finch and the Orange Mound Community from where he emerged.

On October 28, 2021 the Historic Statue of Memphis State Basketball player and Coach Larry Finch statue was unveiled. Larry Finch born in 1951 was a star basketball player at Melrose High School in the historic “Orange Mound” section of Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Martin Luther King was killed in Memphis in 1968 and Memphis had a reputation of White Supremacy and Racism.
Herb Hilliard who was Memphis State now the University of Memphis first athlete to play was then Memphis 68/69 was a walk on player not recruited by the School. Racist Memphis State did not recruit African/ Americans. What changed Memphis State was Melrose Basketball Player Bobby “Bingo Smith” whereas in his senior year1968/69 at Tulsa, University he was the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the year. He devastated the University of Memphis and embarrassed Memphis, Tennessee for their racism of not recruiting Black player.
After being devastated the University of Memphis, then recruited Melrose’s Larry Finch and Ronnie Roberson. The new Black dominated team would lead Memphis State in 1973 to the national NBA Championship game against U.C.L.A. Larry Finch and Memphis State basketball became local heroes. Larry Finch would eventually become a winning coach and local hero.

Larry Finch lead by example. Larry never forgot about “Orange Mound” and he maintained his “Orange Mound Root.” He became a father figure and his players loved and honored him. At the unveiling University Memphis Coach Penny Hardaway was moved to tears just speaking about Larry Finch.

Former player Elliott Perry spoke passionate about Larry Finch. This video was written, produced, directed, edited and uploaded by Anthony “Amp” Elmore. Elmore who lives in “Orange Mound” is Memphis 1st Independent feature filmmaker and African/American historian. Elmore decided to tell the unveiling for the stature from the eyes of the Black prospective.
The Larry Finch stature is a step in the right direction of justice and equality for African/Americans. Clearly Larry Finch deserved the honor, however so often African/American are always left out. Elmore tells the narrative that the honor for Larry Finch is an honor for “Orange Mound.” Orange Mound is the 1st Community in America built for Blacks by Blacks.
Orange Mound residents many dressed in the Maroon and Gold Colors of Melrose High school showed up to pay there respects. Elmore spoke to the Melrose graduates and tells an African/American prospective. Elmore explains that this honor for our White Mayor Jim Strickland and even the University of Memphis athletic director such events could be perfunctory, however for African/Americans this stature unveiling is a win for “Black America USA.

Orange Mound a Black Community in Memphis, Tennessee is the 1st Community in America built for Blacks by Blacks. Orange Mound's history dates back to 1879. Anthony "Amp" Elmore is a Memphis born "Five Time World Karate/Kickboxing Champion" who has lived in "Orange Mound" since 1972 via purchasing a home in Orange Mound at 19 years old.

Elmore a Memphis born Karate/Kickboxing champion after watching the 1986 Spike Lee Black and White movie "She Gotta Have it" became inspired and motivated to believe he could tell his story via producing a movie. Elmore explains that I was that "skinny little kid" who lacked self-confidence whereas I was not good in sports but I loved to sing and dance. Elmore watched Bruce Lee and Muhammad Ali.

Elmore as a Memphis youth grew up via the Memphis music culture. Attending an integrated high school in Memphis Elmore joined an "All White Band as a leader singer at 15 years old in Memphis. Two of the White parents objected to their children being in a band with a Black man. Elmore learned 1st hand about racism.

Elmore had a chance to learn Karate from one of the older youth in his Black neighborhood who mastered Karate during their military duty. Elmore became like a Buddhist monk and learned and practiced Karate diligently. In 1974 the new sport of Karate/Kickboxing was born in America. Elmore after watching the 1976 Olympics dreamed that he could represent America doing Karate. Elmore decided to become the World Karate/Kickboxing Champion. On May 29, 1982 Elmore became the Professional Karate Association World Heavyweight Champion.

Elmore in an effort be an American model decided that he would tell his story via a movie. In November of 1987 Elmore began filming his movie in Memphis. In the above video Elmore explains how he not only experienced White Supremacy, Racism and Black on Black Racism Elmore explains that he continues to experience Racism.

Elmore in writing, producing, directing and starring in his film made American film history. Elmore Memphis made film is "America's 1st Kickboxing Movie." Elmore is the only World Karate/Kickboxing World champion who has a story told via a film. Elmore explains that Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan were not world champions.

Elmore in this video notes how White Memphis Film Commissioner Linn Sitler used her office to not only discriminate, Linn Sitler refuse to recognize Elmore's film as not only Memphis first Independent Feature film, Elmore is fighting to get his community of "Orange Mound" noted as "The Birthplace of Memphis Independent Filmmaking."

Linn Sitler refuse to acknowledge Elmore's film. She has the support of African/American Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris who supports the racism against Black films and Black Filmmakers in Memphis. Lee Harris remains silent about the discrimination.

Anthony "Amp" Elmore is a Memphis five time World Karate/Kickboxing Champion and America's 1st filmmaker to produce a Kickboxing feature film. Elmore notes in this video that while Elvis and Graceland are the greatest tools of White Supremacy and Racism in the 20th Century Elvis Presley was no racist.

Elmore will begin production of his Memphis made film "Rock and Roll A Black Legacy" in November of 2021. The film will include the untold and unknown story of Elmore Presley and his relationship with the Black Community.

The film will also tell the story of the despairing relationship of Black Memphis and Elvis. Elmore in another video explains that it was the result of "White Supremacy and Racism" that Killed Elvis Presley. Elmore explains in the upcoming movie that Elvis was torn between making the White racism and White Supremacy a part of his culture or him being able to have true "cultural expression.

Elvis got his music and cultural expression from Black America U.S.A. Elvis loved and enjoyed White privilege and at the same this the culture of hate and White Supremacy destroyed Elvis.

On Tuesday October 5, 2021 The United State Senate Confirmed 41 year old Damian Williams the First Black U. S. Attorney representing the Southern District of New York. This is one of the most important positions in America. He will represent some of the most high profile cases in America like the upcoming Trump Lawyer Rudy Giuliani Federal case.

Just as there is a change in the highest seat of Government in America. It is time for change in Memphis, Tennessee where we have the best qualified candidate for District Attorney Linda Harris who is running for Shelby County District Attorney that represents a 70% African/American population. In the 202 year Memphis history there has never been an African America Shelby County District Attorney.

Linda Harris is by far the best candidate who knows best how to represent all of Shelby County.

This video was written, produced, directed, edited, narrated and uploaded by Anthony "Amp" Elmore President and Founder of the "Proud Black Buddhist World Association."

Elmore read the book "Malcolm X on Afro-American History" in the late 1970's whereas her learned that the Buddha was Black. Elmore for decades has researched and investigated the cased regarding "Black Buddhist History." Elmore after detailed investigation and learning Black Buddhist history Elmore explains that is is "outright frightening learning about the connection of Buddhist history to Christian History. while Elmore does not reveal the Christian and Buddhist connect in this video Elmore explains what happen to Black Buddhist history and how Buddha and Buddhism changed from Black to White.

In summary the White Kushan King Kanishka was brought into India to subdue Buddhist. The White conquerors would eventually conquer what was once "all Black India." In India they not only created "The Cast System" based on Color it was King Kanishka who changed the "Buddha from Black to White and he created a new Buddhist called "Mahayana Buddhist."

Mahayana Buddhism is the time in history whereas not only the Buddha was changed from Black to White, Mahayana Buddhist extricated all Black Buddhist history.

Many Blacks who call themselves "Mahayana Buddhist" do not know the history. King Kanishka formed Mahayana Buddhism. Elmore via this via explain the history.

On Thursday September 30, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. in Memphis at Cummings K optional school, just down the street from the Stax Museum a 13 year old boy was shot by another 13 year old boy. Shelby County candidate for District Attorney Linda Harris address the Shooting.

Linda Harris a graduate of Hamilton High School not far from the shooting was once a Memphis police officer responses via a news conference about the shooting. Ms. Harris explains that gun violence is a "learned behavior" and she makes clear that our African/American community has the resources to deal with such issues but she explains that leadership in Memphis are not dealing with the issues.

Ms. Harris points out that Memphis has organizations to deal with the issues but many of the organizations are not given the voice or the concern. Ms. Harris explains that our leaders meaning our Mayors should be just as concerned at a shooting in the inner city as they are about Collierville in the affluent areas.

Linda Harris explains that she as Shelby County District Attorney would deal with issue not just from the "Top Down" she would address issues from both the bottom up and to down and meet somewhere in the middle. Ms. Harris makes not that there are two victims, the 13 year old who got shot and the 13 year old who did the shooting. Both families with suffer and do we as a community treat a 13 year old as an adult.

Linda Harris who understands the issues notes that this is a community issues that we must address as a community and not just throw a child and jail and throw away the Key. Ms. Harris notes that we must address gun laws and how a 13 year old has access to get a gun.

In 1988 African/American Memphis film producer Anthony "Amp" Elmore completed Memphis 1st 35mm Independent feature film production via his Memphis made movie "The Contemporary Gladiator.." White Memphis Shelby County Film Commissioner Linn Sitler used her power and position as Memphis Film Commissioner to erase the fact that Anthony "Amp" Elmore's film is Memphis 1st Independent Feature film.

Linn Sitler as Memphis Shelby County Film Commissioner put her thumb on the scale to not only disadvantage Elmore's 1988 historic film production, Linn Sitler used her office and power as Memphis Film Commissioner to eviscerate and erase Elmore's historic Memphis Film History.

In contrast to Memphis White Supremacy and Racism, White Germany not only purchased the rights to Elmore's film, Germany dubbed the film into their deutsch language and they re-titled the film "Kickbox Gladiator." The Germans unlike Xeon Films who acquired the film for American distribution, the Germans chose to not edit and produced an "uncut" version of the film.

The Country of Germany embraced the 1988 Memphis released film and culturally, skillfully translated the movie into the German language or deutsch. The German re-titled the film "Kickbox Gladiator."

The delineation between Memphis, Tennessee and Germany acknowledging this Memphis African/American film is Memphis Shelby County Film Commissioner Linn Sitler. The film buyers in Germany looked at the film for its historic, cultural, artistic, marketing and other values. In Memphis Film Commissioner Linn Sitler looked at how Elmore being noted as Memphis 1st feature filmmaker would affect white Memphis.

While Elmore's film is undoubtedly Memphis 1st Independent 35mm Feature film Memphis Film Commission Linn Sitler in practice used her position as Memphis Shelby County Film Commissioner to put her "Thumb on the scales" to not only disadvantage Elmore's African/American Film production, Linn Sitler used her position to extricate Elmore's film out of Memphis film history.

This video was written, produced, directed, narrated, and edited by Memphis 1st Independent feature filmmaker 5 time World Karate/Kickboxing champion Anthony "Amp" Elmore. Elmore in 1986 watched the Spike Lee 1986 Black and White film "She's Gotta Have It." Inspired by the Spike Lee film Elmore set out to produce a film about how he became a World Karate Kickboxing champion.

Elmore took a typing course, wrote a movie script, obtained a 2nd mortgage on his home and he began the task of producing a 35mm feature film. Elmore notes that the most difficult thing I have ever done in my life was making a 35mm Feature film. Elmore explains that even more difficult than making a film was the racism and white supremacy he experienced in Memphis.

Elmore never set out to be Memphis 1st Independent 35mm Feature filmmaker. In fact Elmore has no idea that he was Memphis 1st Independent feature filmmaker until after experiencing decades of insults from Memphis Shelby County Film Commissioner Linn Sitler. For decades Memphis Shelby County Film Commissioner Linn Sitler used her office to promote White Films and White filmmakers. In 34 years since producing the film "The Contemporary Gladiator" Elmore had never been invited to anything film related in Memphis.

The point was the fact that Linn Sitler had extricated Elmore out of Memphis film history. In 2017 Elmore created the film "Robert Hollywood Raiford Black American USA." Elmore asked Linn Sitler and the Memphis Shelby County Film Commission to assist at bring exposure to his movie. Elmore explained how over the decades he was treated with "White Supremacy and Racism."

Instead of assisting Elmore Linn Sitler and the Memphis Shelby County Film Commission retaliated against Elmore who in 2019 became the 1st person in Memphis history to chronicle "200 Years of Black Memphis Film History." Linn Sitler and the Film Commission not only refused to assist Elmore, the partnered with "Memphis in May" to promote "Films made in Memphis." They purposefully left Elmore out who is Memphis 1st Independent Filmmaker. Elmore complained about the treatment.

The "straw that broke the Camels back" was that Elmore asked Linn Sitler to come to the "Black Community of Orange Mound and provide a news conference to promote Black Films and Black filmmakers." Linn Sitler accused Elmore of trying to raise money to shoot a film via using the Memphis Shelby County Film Commission. Elmore called Linn Sitler a lie.

Elmore in May of 2021 filed a two million dollar federal Lawsuit against Linn Sitler and the Memphis Shelby County Film Commission. This video tell the challenges that Elmore faced and is facing in Memphis..

Anthony "Amp" Elmore is President and Founder of "The Proud Black Buddhist World Association." Elmore became a Buddhist in 1970 whereas he practiced Buddhism as part of his "Old Japanese Karate Practice." Elmore joined the SGI/Nichiren Shoshu Buddhist sect in 1974. It was only after reading the book "Malcolm X on Afro-American History" that Elmore learned that the "Buddha was Black."

Elmore eventually after over 40 years years departed the Japanese Buddhist Sects and he organized "The Proud Black Buddhist World Association." Elmore wrote and produced this song years ago. Elmore changed a few graphics and republished the song in the Black cultural format of "Rap Music." This song is perhaps America's 1st Black Buddhist History Rap Song. This video is part of a companion letter send to Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland and Shelby County Tennessee Mayor Lee Harris. Anthony "Amp" Elmore who is better known in Memphis as the "Five Time World Karate/Kickboxing Champion" in 1987 wrote, produced, directed, starred and scored the movie "The Contemporary Gladiator." The story is a semi-autobiographical story of Elmore rise at becoming a World Kickboxing Champion.

Elmore who was the 1st person to bring E.S.P.N. to Memphis in 1981 also produced shows for "Black Entertainment Television." Elmore motivated by Black filmmaker Spike Lee's 1986 Black and White film "She's Gotta Have it" wanted provide a value to youth via telling his story. Elmore in making the movie had no idea that his film and movie production was Memphis 1st Independent 35mm Film.

Unlike White Memphis filmmaker Marius Penzcer who who a a Memphis State film student who in 1982 produced a 16mm student film titled "I was a Zombie for the FBI" the city of Memphis reveled at the fact of students making a 16mm film. While the fact remains that a 16mm film was not suitable for "Theatrical Release" and considered only a student film the city of Memphis for decades honored Marius Penzcer' s work.

Elmore who was Memphis 1st Independent Feature filmmaker at the time of this writing has never been acknowledged as Memphis 1st Independent filmmaker. Elmore who worked with White Memphis Film Commissioner Linn Sitler reported that Linn Sitler subvert his work as a filmmaker and he was and is met with "White Supremacy and Racism." In 34 years since Elmore completed his film he has never been acknowledged or invited to anything film related.

Elmore in this video asks the Mayors to acknowledge the fact of history in that he is Memphis 1st Independent feature filmmaker.

The campaign to elect Linda Harris for District Attorney in Shelby County Tennessee says listen to a few Black District Attorneys in America. African/Americans District Attorneys note that it is important to have a Black prospective and that everyone must be represented.

In regards to our majority African American population in Shelby County there has never been an elected African/American District Attorney, Everyone needs a fair voice and representation. Linda Harris understands best the needs of the majority African/American population.
