Röbynn Europe, a Black professional bodybuilder and former manager at the luxury gym Equinox, had a bit of a habit of hitting the snooze button. Over the course of 10 months, she was officially late to work 47 times. Equinox management finally had enough and fired her for her attendance. Normally, that’s where the story ends and you just go file for unemployment. But Röbynn wasn't going out like that.. She lawyered up and sued Equinox for racial and gender discrimination. She didn't deny being late, but she brought the receipts to prove that her non-Black coworkers were doing the exact same thing or worse and keeping their jobs. On top of the double standards, she proved she was dealing with a hostile work environment where white male subordinates were making racist comments and refusing to respect her authority as a Black woman.
The jury looked at the evidence, saw the blatant favoritism, and deliberated for barely an hour before handing Equinox a massive reality check. They awarded Röbynn a jaw-dropping $11.25 MILLION!

Hanif Johnson’s early life included serious mistakes, but his journey later became a powerful example of personal transformation through education, discipline, and sustained commitment to change.

As a teenager and young adult in Pennsylvania, Johnson faced three separate arrests that could have permanently shaped the direction of his future and limited his opportunities. Instead of letting that define him, he chose to redirect his life and focus on rebuilding.

He went on to pursue higher education, earning a degree from Penn State University and working toward a career in law. In 2017, at just 27 years old, he was elected magisterial district judge in Dauphin County, becoming the youngest person ever to hold that position in Pennsylvania.

Johnson has since spoken about how his past experiences inform his perspective in the courtroom, giving him a deeper sense of empathy when dealing with young people who still have the chance to change their own paths.
