Music teachers, this one’s for you! 🎶

The KORG SoundTree Sweepstakes is officially live!

We’re giving up to 20 schools the opportunity to use a KORG powered music Lab with a GEC5 Lab Controller System for the 2026–2027 school year. Each participating school will also receive SoundTree Lab Training to help bring their music tech lab to life.

How to enter? Show us your vision! Create a 3–5 minute video introducing your music program, sharing what your students are creating, and telling us how a music technology lab could help them take their learning further.

One of the most exciting developments in music education is the growing recognition that there are many pathways to becoming a musician. Whether through traditional ensembles, Modern Band, music production, songwriting, or digital creation, today’s classrooms offer extraordinary opportunities to engage students in meaningful musical experiences.

At the heart of these evolving approaches is a simple but powerful idea: meeting students where they are, embracing the music that inspires them, and providing the tools and encouragement to help them discover their own musical voices.

We’re pleased to welcome Bryan Powell of Music Will, exploring the Modern Band movement and its impact on music education. Bryan has been a passionate advocate for expanding access to music-making, and we’re equally excited to highlight his insightful article, "Expanding Participation in Music through Modern Band."
