Kae Me Beads is the business outcome of a passion to showcase the rich culture, history, values and treasures of Africa to the world. The use of beads in Africa can be traced to the last 12,000 years. The earliest beads were made of eggshell, clay, twigs, stones, ivory and bone. After that came glass beads from early trading on the continent. Since then, African artisans have become highly skilled

in the making of glass beads, using recycled glass, bare hands, non-mechanized tools, paint and culturally motivated manufacturing tactics. We devoted time and resources into researching and understanding the full life cycle of glass beads and opportunities in the global jewelry and crafts industry. We subsequently discovered the treasure that we strongly believe, should be shared with the world and that's how the business of Kae Me Beads started.

This name reflects the uniqueness and rich cultural history behind hand-made and painted glass beads sourced from all-natural raw materials in Ghana and made into voguish bracelets with character.
