When people think about planning a quilt, they usually focus on the feature fabrics.
But the background fabric may be doing the most important job in the entire quilt.
The right background can make colors pop, soften a busy design, add texture, create contrast, or completely change the feel of a project.
In this video, I walk through several popular background options—including white and cream, low-volume prints, black and gray backgrounds, and even colorful backgrounds (yes, hot pink Grunge made an appearance!).
