As many of you know by now, Leslie (our daughter and former co-owner of Meeker Florist) left Meeker Florist to pursue her passion and to start up her own store right after Valentines Day focusing on wellness and health. Her store is called The Apothecary and is located inside Shawnee Mall around the corner from Santa Fe Restaurant and just down from Dillards. She had her grand opening last weekend and has done an amazing job creating a beautiful store with unique items and a number of classes and hands on activities. She wanted to open a store that was not just a place to buy items but could be an actual experience. I think she achieved that goal! We would encourage you to go check out her store! In particular, if you are looking for unique opportunity to do something with/for the mom(s) in your life, check out this opportunity tomorrow.

Also, be sure to contact us at Meeker Florist for your floral needs. We still have some beautiful flowers, bouquets and plants ready for you to pick up or for us to deliver! However, our large shipment of flowers is going fast, so do not wait too long! You can call us at 405-279-3575 to place your order. We will be open Friday from 9:00 - 6:00 as well as Saturday from 9:00 - 2:00. It's not a cliche, mother's really do love receiving a lovely arrangement of flowers!

Good morning! Donna & I (Kenneth) wanted to first say thank you for all your support of Meeker Florist. We have some exciting announcements involving transitions and change coming to 609 W. Carl Hubbell Blvd. in the next few months!

First, our daughter, Leslie, had her last day of co-ownership and managing Meeker Florist on Valentine's Day. She has felt called to branch out and start her own The Apothecary at Shawnee Mall. This has been her dream and passion for some time. While we hate to see her leave, she has our full blessings, and we hope she succeeds beyond her dreams.

What does this mean for the future of Meeker Florist? As many of you may know, Donna & I also own Flower Emporium in Harrah. We will continue to operate both florists; however, we will make some logistical transitions over the weeks ahead. One of those will be a significant remodeling and repurposing much of our space in our building at 609 W. Carl Hubbell Blvd. Construction work should begin within the next few weeks and hopefully will be completed by mid-April. During that time, we ask for your patience as we navigate the pains of construction in anticipation of the wonderful benefits once completed. Our intent is to remain open during the construction phase the best we can during that process; however, much of the floral design work will be completed in Harrah and then we will have staff deliver the designs back to Meeker for pickup, delivery, or placement in our coolers. There should be minimal impact on customers needing to place orders. The most likely impact will be a smaller supply of ready-made arrangements in our cooler during the construction process.

The other exciting part of the transition is that we will be relocating The Jester's Candy Court & Ice Cream Parlor and Massey Law Office into the same building once the remodel and construction is complete.

What will never change is our desire to provide you with quality flowers for all occasions as well as personal service. We look forward to your continued support and serving you in the years ahead. We will keep you updated as these exciting things take place.
