I made this a couple years ago for our retiring mail carrier, but due to a surprise attack from my appendix, I was in the hospital when she made her last run through the neighborhood and missed the opportunity to gift her with this desk organizer. She was special and took time to hand out stickers to the neighborhood kids and sometimes just chat. She was on our route for over 20 years. We finally caught up with her to give her her gift, so sharing it. I added the Grumman F14 Tomcat hood ornament to the Grumman mail truck, because aviation is in our blood. Just a fun little project. Happy Retirement Mail Carrier Barb!

Halloween night handouts are shaping up. A little less fright night festive, but year round, lasting usefulness showing some team spirit. For those finding their way here from the embossing on the side, they sharpen crayons too without having to bother to peel them first, and they have replaceable blades. Just search “M & R sharpener blades” on Amazon if ever needed.

Since Jeep ducks are a thing that has gone viral, the files available are fun. They have duck files for almost everything! I did not find a lawn mower duck, however. To show a little support to our neighborhood kids trying to start up a little lawn business, I took a jeep themed duck and borrowed the wheels. These ducks are ready to go to work!

I’m getting the name signs polished and figured out a work around to shrink them down and still have the light covers work (they were losing their sides or not fitting well when reduced in size). The paint on the insides is gone, replaced with white shells to reflect and diffuse the light. Long names take up a lot of bedroom real estate at the stock file size, not something everyone has in excess. Shrinking them down a touch will make the size more manageable. Here’s another birthday sign for a handsome young man!
