Community is my favorite part about being a business owner in a small town. We get asked all the time for raffle prize donations and support for various organizations, but none of that compares to helping one kid who has a vision to make a difference. Congrats to Ryan on his successful Eagle Scout project!

It’s delivery day! Which means Goose has found a large box of paper to relax in for the next few days. Sorry, but I won’t be able to move this box.

This also means we have our hummingbird nectar back in stock along with so many other things! ❤️

It’s been a hectic start to an almost summer season, but we’re still here! Just not so much on social media lately. The kiddo graduated kindergarten, a baby blue jay was rescued, we worked the Medford Lakes Memorial Day Parade, I had my first paint class, and the birds are STILL ripping through seed due to nesting season.

As I begin a late spring cleaning, I’m finding things downstairs to get rid of. We will have a $5 bargain bin until it’s empty! We also have small flag stands. If you buy one, you get a free flag. There will be more items as I continue to go through old inventory. 🙂

Monday evening we’re Painting for a Cause for Heaven on Earth Horse Rescue at the store.

We have about 5 spots left at $35 per person. All proceeds will go to the rescue to help with all the amazing work they do for rescued horses.

I got to spend time at Magee Marsh in Oak Harbor, OH this week and there were a lot of highlights.

In a few short days, I saw 93 different species of birds, 23 different warblers, and 20 different water birds. Almost 30 hours of solid birding and countless moments spent enjoying nature, Lake Erie, and the company of great people.

Some notable looks…
- Kirtland’s Warbler
- Golden-winged Warbler
- Spotted Sandpiper
- Male & Female Green Heron on their nest.

Looking forward to next year’s Biggest Week in American Birding!
