For those who may not have visited Salem, Mass- this is the site where 19 accused witches were hung in 1692. This somber, unassuming site is next door to a duplex, across the street from an electrical plant and in sight of a Walgreens. No pomp and circumstance… barely a sign that really doesn’t explain what it is. To find this in Salem, you have to look for it and drive to it as it’s off the beaten path, in a more residential area… This, Proctor’s Ledge, is one of the many sites of significant injustice and intolerance that we have in our country (and others). The Salem witch hysteria was less about witches and more about fear, keeping one’s status in society at any cost (including human life), misogyny, discrimination, failure of the use of law and extraordinary injustice. This is a good time to reflect on this unbelievable event in American history.

On this gorgeous piece, she’s incorporated 2 big pieces of golden healer Herkimer Diamonds! We are thrilled and excited to offer her pieces to our Zen Den family!
