On the bench this week - a 1962 Fender Brown Panel Concert. What a gorgeous amp! It had been modified in the past, so I restored it to original specs with new filter caps and a full service. This Harmonic Tremolo is one of my favorite circuits, I've built a couple clones, but to play an original is always a treat.

Hey, if your amp has these old gray IC brand filter caps, let's get 'em outta there! They're prone to failure and are the source of all kinds of electrical problems. Today this '65 Princeton Reverb Reissue from 2013 is safe and healthy again!

On the bench right now: this 1979 Fender Super Reverb. I converted the bias circuit to the more desirable AB763 design, and solved a problem with howling feedback in the reverb control. Plus the usual inspection, clean the scratchy pots, and set the bias.
