The first cranes strung were from a Spoleto Festival USA memorial for Felix which included notes for Felix. Felix worked in the Props Shop at Spoleto making props for operas for nearly 10 years. These cranes and notes are displayed on a shrine for Felix made by the Spoleto Festival props shop manager and Felix’s very good friend Matt Williams

I loved Trixie Belden books as a kid!

Trixie Belden was first published in 1948 and became a beloved girl detective series for readers who wanted something a little less polished than Nancy Drew.

Nancy had confidence, money, and a very useful father.

Trixie had housework, odd jobs, annoying brothers, and a habit of getting herself into scrapes through sheer overenthusiastic curiosity.

The series ran until 1986, then went out of print until 2003, which turned the books into the kind of thing you had to hunt for in thrift stores, used bookshops, and dusty library sale boxes.

A mystery series that, for awhile, became a little mystery to collect.
