Kind Goods is a thoughtfully curated collection of handmade treasures that are sourced within a 50 mile radius of Maynard, Massachusetts. With goods both gathered and made in our shop, we hope to inspire a swell of support for our local economy. Each dollar spent at an independent local business is an investment toward the progress of our town, the small batch makers we carry, and the future.

As the mascot for ALL Maynard schools is the Tiger, this is THE gift for end of year teacher appreciation. We love a thoughtful consumable, my friends. We love fair trade coffee. We love caffeine. These beans are exceptional. I got the espresso roast for it’s ability to sing in a wide range of brew styles and maintain its roasty toasty depth whether it’s cold brew or two shots over ice, served in a latte or as standard issue drip in a basic coffee machine. Whole bean so you can control the grind.

(You do not need a coffee grinder to grind beans. A string blender works just fine. Use what you have, make it in small batches, revel in the ritual.)

Anyway. Pair this with a travel mug or a bundle of concord made pencils and CALL IT A DAY.

There. One less thing you’ve got to worry about, you’re welcome. 💋

Don’t worry, baby— we’ve got MONTHS left of summer. Slow down a little, okay? Work on your TBR stack. Pick out some tshirts to tie dye. Put a tomato plant in a pot. Paint your toes. Find some really good s’mores sticks. Go buy a gas station map. Braid some long grass. Enjoy the short lived season of open windows + favorite quilt + smell of rain. It too, is a lovely thing.

I’ve got to be around people who make things. Folks who look around their life and gather up what’s available and try. I need earnestness and whimsy in skin and bones. A heart that doesn’t beat have, have, have, but do, do, do. You know? I don’t care if your artistry is in the kitchen or the yard or the studio. A canvas is not more exalted than a carrot, in my book. Have you ever tried to grow a carrot?!

Anyway. That’s what’s on my mind today, as I put a little fluff into the shop post Saturday swarm, surrounded by things people have brought into the world with their hands.

If you’re around today, we’d LOVE to see you. If you’re excited about your garden, we ABSOLUTELY want to hear about it. If you let your kids take permanent markers to your white jeans, I think that’s great and I will 100% attempt to resist letting the 4 year olds around me draw on my knees, but it’s gonna be hard.

Sunday. Open 11-5. Closed tomorrow for the holiday, so as a consolation we are once again making tiny lattes while you visit. 💋
