Hey y’all! It’s been a hell of a year shifting gears, but we’re finally getting back to the grind! I could not be happier or the next couple months I’m going to be adjusting the name of the company as well as our website and Facebook as we hone in on our focus a bit more! thank you to all who support us for your patience in this process as it has been a very long year, but worth every moment. Here’s to the future end of very happy holidays.

It has been a long while since I’ve posted but I’ve been putting in long hours at my other job. I feel like I’m starting to find my homelife groove again so here’s to getting back at it! Nice Wednesday after sharpening 8 dog clipper blades and stropping 🥰🥰

Wellllllll… addendum. I have to do some wood working stuff and metal protection before I resume the rest of my sharpening as I picked up this amazing Henry Disston & Sons Champion No. 2 56” cross cut saw. Made in Philadelphia.

It’s pretty immaculate. Someone tried to clean up the blade a little bit so I’m going to go a little further with it. The original stamp is still there and I am incredibly fortunate. This saw ranges from $500-$800. And I was able to pick it up for about $100. It’s still shows most of the original stamp. So I’m going to polish it up a little bit, Get rid of some of the minor rust on it oil the handles and prep it for use.

I have to do some research on how to restore the ink on the original stamp so I can save it for when my daughter is older, but this was just too good not to take care of tonight. Made in the 1840’s! I’ll upload some of the photos along with the original stamp for context. Then I’ll get back to sharpening!!

So enjoy some wood working, steel oiling and sharpening and chill

Public note, I was gifted these three deer hides and as I come from a waste not- want not family I decided to take these and work them into some beautiful projects.
With that said. I was gifted three deer hides! I’m keeping two fuzzy and one for straight leather so I’m excited to turn these into some beautiful leather pieces soon. Still busy with the sharpening and lots and lots of plants growing for pre spring but it’s nice to shift gears when the opportunity strikes🥰🥰

I have been commissioned as of late to do some leather working for some wonderful people in the axe throwing community. It has been a nice break from the sharpening and as I can only watch plants sprout for so long before crossing my eyes I have thoroughly enjoyed the change of pace. Here is one of the pieces I’ve been working on. It’s a badges logo axe cover for a world axe throwing league member. I am excited to give it to them tonight!

Toro made throwing stars! Although, someone should have told them it be better not to coat the cutting edge.🤣 can’t wait...
